Shewee The morning came Waaay earlier than I thought it would....and Geez'o'Pete I sure needed the ☕ Coffee ☕ !! Thank goodness I had already prepped some instant oatmeal & laid out clothes options. I really need to not read 📚so long on Friday nights.

So it's Race Day Saturday! 

Lunch Ladies Hustle 5K another Fun Race with lots of my Lexington runners

and the Kid showed Up this morning as well!! Finally!

won 3rd in her age group....

Do you remember your favorite lunch lady? Did you love school pizza?

The race was presented by the Fayette County School Nutrition Association . FCSNA is a non-profit organization that aides local school nutrition employees and public-school students. FCSNA provides annual student scholarships, employee scholarship, and multiple recognition awards. As well as offering continuing education for their members to develop career skill sets while offering a localized sense of community.

Members and fellow child nutrition professionals have maintained their dedication throughout the pandemic, which EVERYONE knows how hard that was. They've worked tirelessly to provide meals for adolescents and will continue to do so throughout the years to come. If it wasn't known before 2020, it is now clear that some heroes do indeed, wear aprons instead of capes. 100% of proceeds and donations from our race will bolster our student & employee scholarship program.

Channel your favorite lunch lady from the past. Circa 1970’s. We’ll have a fun prize for the best dressed “lady”.

So there we have it, another successful race event in the books. Fun was had by All, and Mother Nature was *Oh*So*Kind* holding off the rain.
