Summer Solstice + Sunday re-Set + Happy Father's Day

To all the Dad's, step-Dads, Uncle's, Brother's and Females out there...whether 2 or 4 legged, today's your day.

*****
And it also happens to be Summer Solstice...
Days will start slowly getting shorter...

*****

Another cuppa Joe☕️ to-go ☕️...off I go for Early:Thirty race. This time it's for just Me!

The "fog" reminds me of the movie "The Abyss".
And of course light at the end of the long road....

*****

Made it EARLY ( as always 😉) to where the race is taking place.
This is a new to me venue, and not sure where we're 🏃‍♀️ running?
I didn't sit in the chair due to it having lot's of water on it, and the hay was Oh...So...Wet!
I sat in the car, drank my coffee, read my devotional prior to race start.

What I  didn't expect was so many people!
I only seen a few that I knew, 😥 sadly no pictures/selfie with them. The course was on the gravel path with short areas through the orchard...we did the "loop" 2X before turning for the finish line.

Just a fewcourse cheerleaders...

Thanks to random strangers that don't mind being bothered so you can get Butterfly Photo...

A quick selfie on the way out...I'm a bit proud of myself.

2nd in my age group...

It was amazing crossing the finish with runner Girl Thomasina....

I text the Mr to let him know I would be a little late but will see him at Church.
Genesis 9:19-29
19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.

20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:

21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.

24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.

25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

Not in "Sunday" dress but like my Dad always said..."Sis, God doesn't care what you wear to church, it's showing up that counts"

The Mr choose Lee's chicken for his Fathers Day lunch/dinner. We got the food to go and went home to eat and relax!!

I showered, and started a load of laundry, then a bit of outdoor porch sitting. Today was Great & Amazing, but tomorrow is a New Day.

Satisfied Saturday

Early:Thirty ☕️coffee☕️to-go…off to work
Donut Dash 3K

Gods Great Glory…

#streakingwiththeCoolKids mile while waiting for the race to start…

*****
Walked up to see the Mr and there was a Model “A” display on the street.

*****

My sweet friend Kathy (on the right) is retiring from one of my favorite downtown stores “Cerci’s”
Needless to say she will be missed, but I know she’ll enjoy her time traveling.

*****

Mr wanted to check out a new artist at the Art Center,

My favorite art piece of Licia Priest Layered Reflections.

We ventured upstairs to checkout the Stephen Powell art bowls collection,
See the light shadows under each bowl…
It’s rumored there are different shadow echos for each piece.

More Stephen Powell blown glass stemwear…

Layered Blown Glass..

Hanging “Echo” bowls

*****

After the Art Center we stopped at my friend - Cheyanne- Mystical
Bluegrass shop. I wasn’t able to make it to Kayla’s book signing for book 2 of the Shadowed Embers series, and had a copy on hold for me…Autographed of course😜

And couldn’t resist getting a couple new bracelets while I was there.

Home to relax, eat dinner and wind down for the night, I have another Early:Thirty wake up in the morning.

Finally FriYay!!

3 miles for this FriYAY Day!

My Prize find for getting my behind in gear this morning…

My Blooming Beauty, I wasn’t sure she would after being abruptly dug up and moved to a new home, really glad she did.

Lord have mercy…Hatfield is making it difficult to decide if I’m returning in 2027…

Mr was gifted a bag of Kale from a Farmers Market vendor…
I’m not a fan but I made him a huge bowl. The G’Kid likes Kale so I’ll give her a couple of servings to.

Porch sitting, and the  “BigGuy” came across the porch and plopped down.
Something he doesn’t normally do. He’s a Handsome Boy and reminds me so much of my PunkN.

This is all for this afternoon/evening. Early:Thirty wake up tomorrow morning.

Thursday Thoughts

YASSS!

I Thought I heard something last night...😬

Off to work I go, with the stormy rain 🌩 I know I'll just be there for a few hours...so planning on helping with prep stuff, and setup for Friday, though I like the little extra 💸 cash I'm not going to moan about leaving early.

Lots to do at home, so until tomorrow Be Safe wherever you live.
