Sunday re-Set Struggle Venting

*****

Many weeks ago (last week of April) the Mr's niece was admitted into the hospital experiencing difficulties with her pregnancy at 27 weeks that "we" knew nothing about...(family sometimes suck) only because the BIL told us. Dr's wanted to get her to at the very least 28weeks. Personally I'm struggling with this because of the niece having issues and losing a baby animal few short hrs ago...

May 7th the niece sent me this text, it makes me sad 😟, because I could and would have helped in every possible way, just as we've tried to do.
*****
This mornings Sunday School lesson...am I  questioning if I myself cultivate generosity...I  feel like I do, though I need to do better.
*****
My Sunday to help Usher...grateful to serve my church in this small way.
*****
Genesis 45 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren.

2 And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard.

3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence.

4 And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.

5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

6 For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest.

7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

"Grands" on vacation

A long overdo vacation getaway with the G'Kid to our favorite place...neither of our schedules lined up together last year to visit Asheville. But now that she's changed jobs with a flexible schedule and I myself have cut back my schedule we made it !!

So much to see while visiting Biltmore,  and I  always seem to find something that I didn't notice on previous trips !!
*****
No long post...we went to her favorite place to eat @TupeloHoney and shopped the Outlet Mall for new dresses for Moi. Did I spend a fortune? Yes, yes I did, but Big things are on the horizon for my Mr and I need to be a bit more polished 😉 JusSayin'. In the meantime visit the link to my FB post for all the amazing sites from the house.

Happy Homemaker Monday 5-11-26

 [ yes I'm Behind with blogging STILL😔...]

The G'Kid and I are Biltmore Bound

Because our schedules didn't align at all last year, we weren't able to make it, or to any of the ''other'' wanna-do activities. Now that she has a different job with a more structured schedule, we are re-visiting and in planning mode for adventures.

*****

For now let's try and get this HHM done and link with Sandra

Tuesday Tidbit + Declutter + I Can and I Will

Instead of mentioning how chaotic life has been, let me say just how much I've ''decluttered'' the past 1 1/2 weeks...
FIRST, as I mentioned a while ago, I was doing so much volunteer stuff for the hospital gift shop then when I needed a few select days off no one was willing to help. The boss in gift shop said it was out of her hands to force other volunteers to do extra shifts. OK then but guess what I too am 'just' a volunteer. After discussing things over with the Mr, we decided it would be in my best interest to slow way down volunteering for those that showed next to no appreciation...and that's exactly what I've done. I gave notice that effective June I would go back to my originally schedule days of twice a month, which has given whoever is in charge of getting volunteers a month +plus to find more help.

SECOND, Why do ''in-laws'' need to be so indecisive & difficult?? Is it just Mine?? The BIL [Mr bro] has some really awful/serious health issues lately and getting the niece [his daughter BTW] involved to figure out what the what for him is next to Zero!! As in let's hope it doesn't come to that attitude...I asked Mr to get convo's started and so far nothing, nada, zip ! I commented after waiting for the past couple of weeks that IF I needed to get involved I would/could & can but plan on me hurting some feelings along the way.

THIRD...The SIL is coming yet again just long enough to interrupt schedules already set, she comes in around 1-2pm and goes home the next morning at 7am'ish. I told Mr he was on his own this time, sorry not sorry, I have obligations scheduled and not changing or switching them up.

FOURTH...There are a few friends that 'comment' / 'complain' I'm involved in Sooo Much Stuff!! Well, yes, yes, I am and I've tried to accommodate them as best I can along with trying to help them be involved and expand their circle of people.

LAST...I've started decluttering/reorganizing this house! A little at a time when Mr is gone doing his thing. So far he hasn't missed what I've taken out, and it's made a Big impact on my sanity.

*****
Ok, now let's get to a few things. I spent the today decluttering/working in my office. Sorting through paperwork and cleaning out files... Man it felt so good to get things accomplished! I even took time to get a walk in. It was slow...very slow🤣but I made it! And it coincided with a decision I made.
At yesterday's Auxiliary meeting we had a couple from the Wellness Center do a more in-depth presentation requesting funding for a 'Body Scan' machine. 20Grand!! It does everything except pick you up and place you on it. A lot of questions and discussion ensued about people and what priorities they put on their health led to a comment by NP Beth DelVey about how we as women always do what we do even when it's hard! That my friends hit a cord with me...I posted yesterday about my upcoming calendar and this weekend's race was scratched out. Not Any More! I left the meeting thinking about that comment...pondered my options...and YEP, I'm going. Indy Mini may well be difficult & hard. It might take me longer to walk/run. And though the Mr wasn't real pleased when I told him I changed my mind it gave him more comfort knowing I would spend the money and stay an extra night.

*****
Time to finish dinner, Mr has choir practice and I'm going to relax and enjoy sitting outdoors with the PurrKids.
