Here we are again! Another Monday morning. I posted this to my IG stories hours ago....yep several hours ago. I did #GetUp at like 6am...I haven't got out yet but will be soon, I have #GetGoing. The hub's was up earlier than usual to get his treadmill walk done, ate breakfast and went to volunteer for a few hours. I myself got up earlier than usual to get a few things checked off my busy list of 'goal intentions'. The Hub's has a hand Dr appointment this afternoon, so just waiting on him to get here to go. In the meantime, let's link up with Sandra for Happy Homemaker Monday

Blog 365 ~ Already tired next week, LOL

Ok, it's allll my fault! I'm already tired for this next week. Ok, it's allll my fault I have so much on my 'intentions list'. And having sinusitis is making it quite the challenge for me to realize if I will in fact be able to get my stuff [maybe not allll] done.

**********

Today I'm really tired from not sleeping last night! I swear these Purr Boys must sense I'm a bit out of whack. I stayed up late enough [11pm] for another round of meds, got a fresh bottle of water, did my nose with Vick's, and went to bed, within minutes I had 4 of the FurBalls laying Right...Up...Against...AND...On Me! Talk about getting hot...Whew! I finally got up around 1:30am and fixed Chamomile tea read a bit and finally took a Melatonin and went back to bed, this time with only 1 little darling. One day at a time...One night at a time Right??

**********

As I was drinking my coffee, and attempting to read the paper, the hubby started in with the chatter! Now I don't know about all of you, But, first thing in the morning I want quiet! I want to enjoy and savor those first few sips of coffee. I want to peruse the paper without commentary that you had seen it [news story in paper] on Hannity or Engle or whatever news channel from the night before. And if I'm feeling out of Whack..?..Shut UP! And if I didn't sleep well..?.. SHUT UP !! Please!

Admittedly I am the Worst patient ever...I don't need babied. I don't need to be asked multiple times how I feel. I don't need waited on [yet].

**********

While the hubby fixed our traditional oatmeal for breakfast, [oh So good] I worked on getting what things I could planned/organized out so I could get ahead this week...I need to start working on having easy meals for him to warm up while I'm gone to Arizona - 17 days and counting!

**********

A few weeks ago Hub's and I decided we were going to attend church services at our 'other' church First Baptist [FBC]....
today's message...

I have been struggling with my home church FCC. The new Pastor just doesn't make me feel warm & fuzzy with his sermon's. I'm trying to get them, I'm trying to stay engaged, yet I'm struggling. I'm also struggling with the choir director. For months it's seemed like it's a 'one' man show. Music is solemn, and sad. We have so many talented singers in our congregation, yet they aren't utilized. We don't have new generations attending, whereas at FBC there's so many younger, engaging members in attendance every week! Do they want to be there? Are they INFORMED they're going? All I know is the kids are there sitting in church, the kids are interacting with everyone, the kids are paying attention to the service. It's so refreshing to see. I'm not sure what we'll end up doing, but I do know both of us will finish fulfilling our obligations and go from there, In the meantime FBC every other Sunday is the plan. Ok off my soap box for religion!

**********

I have some laundry going and dinner has been prepped so signing off for today and will check in the everyone tomorrow for Happy Homemaker Monday! Have I mentioned I love this Blog 365 Challenge??

Blog 365 ~ Snowball Express 5K recap ~ Lent

Not one of my team RaceRise race events, but the 1st race of the County-Wide Stride Series
Since I didn't have anything yet going on with my own team, I reached out to see if my friends in Rockcastle County wanted/needed a race photographer, and they gladly accepted!

The weather this morning was Perfect for walk/running, and it was only 2 miles. Only a slight breeze with the Sun 🌞 Shining!! I was happy to see several of my Nicholasville & Lexington runners there.

Race proceeds went to Relay for Life....

which is a nationwide voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer.

View race photos here---> Snowball Express 2 miler

Race Results are here---> Race Roster

Not much else scheduled for today, waiting on the Hub's to get home for a grocery run, working blog post for my day 2 Florida trip [should have done a long time ago] and thinking about upcoming Lenten season.

Talk soon!!

Blog 365 ~ Zero energy today, Stupid Sinuses

Stupid Sinuses..!

I do well after taking sinus meds first thing in the morning...

Bed was made, floors swept [6 Dag gone cats!], breakfast, sent the Hub's off to volunteer shift, applied a tad-bit of Vick's in the old Nostrils
 Don't judge it's effective!
then went to Silver Sneaker class....

**********
Afterwards went to see my Gal Pal Mac, they were loading up the truck and will be heading out tomorrow morning for Arizona...How lucky they're able to rent a house for February! I miss her already! 😢 Gave Huge Hug's and a Prayer for safe travels, made sure Mac's daughter her wife has mine & the Hubby's number for JIC!! [always the Mom I guess] I'll be there with the rest of the Gal Pal gang in 19 days, so this Sinus thing needs to straighten up.

**********
Came home fixed chicken & rice soup, then sat down....and there's where I went wrong. I lost all momentum, got really tired, and ended up snoozing! A Nap! I don't NAP! But today I did.

**********
Finally got up took a shower, more sinus meds and waited for the Hub's to get home.

That's my day! I'll be getting up early in the morning, as I'm working the Snowball Express 2 miler as their race photographer. Weather is supposed to be chilly but sunny, let's 🤞!

Blog 365 ~ Snowy Morning

Happy Thursday ! Woke up this morning with a few Snow Flurries, Thanks to those that sent them my way...no I'm not trying to be sarcastic, what little bit we did get is gone now so feel free to send me More!

**********

As I said yesterday, I need to stay as organized as possible, and do everything I can to stay on top of all my current & upcoming duties for the Human Rights Commission AND I'm now involved with the local Hospice thanks to Gal Pal Linda. This includes my household/homemaker daily stuff. I've always had the habit of making my bed...it is one of those things that makes the start of my day 'feel' organized. My morning routine will now consist of running the sweeper while the Hubby is in the bathroom 'doing his thang' [it's like living with a teenage boy] and this morning I was able to also wet mop the living room floor. I Can Do This!

**********

I made a bigger breakfast for us this morning, just a couple of eggs, sausage & toast. We had already decided on a lighter lunch since we're going to a GOP Meet & Greet function tonight. I already baked a chicken yesterday, so adding a salad and Done! Since I'm not doing the social media for GOP anymore so tonight will be mingling/making connections/hob knobbing.

**********

Today was the last of my First Christian Church Bible Study group...Gospel on the Ground was ok, not sure what we will begin next. We all did decide to take a small break due to Lent will be here soon and we will be involved with that.

**********

The answer is EVERYWHERE!!! A Long time ago our little 'Gal Pal' group decided we would do at the very least 1 yearly destination vacation. We have the option to go on vacations with our hiking group a couple times a year as well. Margaret and I went to Florida [yes, I still need to do posts😳] this trip however Mac has planned for Arizona. She lived there for several years; it's been exciting just listening to her tell us about it! Mac is one of those friends that If we had known each other in our youth we'd still be in jail, inside joke...IYKYK...

Mac found these shirts [of course she did] on Amazon and having them shipped to her friend's house in Arizona.

I've kept my suitcase handy with these back-to-back trips and Mac said she would take any with her if we wanted her to...She's rented a different house and staying for the month of February. Of course I'm completely happy to have her do that, Margaret wants to & likes to doing laundry while on vacation, me?  Nada, Nope, Zilch, Heck NO. I have plenty of clothes and can wait until my suitcase makes it back to Ky...only thing I'm 'handling' will be my purse & a backpack on the flight. Other than a few day'ish trips this year, we're planning on California next year to visit another friend Maureen!

**********
Time to fix a couple of salads, and head for Meet & Greet......

Blog 365 ~ Taking a chance on Me.... ~ Proving only to myself...

Normally today would be a hiking day for me...during Florida vacation the new Judge Executive texted me about being on the Board of Director/Committee for Human Rights [that's right she asked for my number after the 2022 election]. I was Surprised to say the least! All during the last Judge Exec & Mayor terms I had expressed interest in being more involved with my community as a matter of fact you can also read about my Lifestyle goals here. Thinking I didn't have the education for such things I finally put it out of my mind. So here's a Big Shout Out to Trille our new Judge Executive, and Big Thank you for taking a chance on me.

During the Magistrate's meeting I was approached by my friend and Waste Management Director Angie to help organize a community/statewide 'Plogging' initiative...again, yet another thing right up my Alley!

[Plogging is a combination of jogging with picking up litter (merging the Swedish verbs plocka upp (pick up) and jogga (jog) gives the new Swedish verb plogga, from which the word plogging derives).[1] It started as an organized activity in Sweden around 2016 and spread to other countries in 2018, following increased concern about plastic pollution. As a workout, it provides variation in body movements by adding bending, squatting and stretching to the main action of running, hiking, or walking.[2][3][4] An estimated 2,000,000 people plog daily in 100 countries and some plogging events have attracted over 3,000,000 participants.[5][6][7]]

I've been concentrating on the promotion/influencer opportunities with run events, and ambassadorships for a few 'special' companies in recent years, but all of those things don't compare to the Human Rights position and the opportunity to organize a Plogging event. I pride myself on being a Planner/Organizer/Scheduler of my time & efforts....Good Thing Right??

I'm Proud of myself.
I'm Proud of how far I've come.
I'm Proud to be Who I am today. Because frankly, growing up I was constantly, consistently, and Always being told I would NEVER amount to much, let alone anything of any 'worth'. That I would be stuck in whatever work I could find [I worked & retired 39yrs for a printing company], and most likely to get pregnant before I was married IF..that is..I did get married. This coming from my close family of Aunts, Uncles, etc including sometimes my own mother. I was the hell raiser heathen child. The mouthy child that didn't take crap off of or from anyone...ever! The one who struggled to get a grade above a 'D' in school. Most were shocked when I did have enough credits to graduate high school. And even more Shocked I got married and then started a family. But you know WHO belived in me ?? Dad. The person who I was told wasn't my 'for real' Dad again by close family members. It didn't matter to me. He was My DAD. He Believed in me and my brother, equally the same. I've taken chances, I've done things, I've learned from mistakes, I've grown, I'm Happy!

There hasn't been any 'new' episodes from our nightly regulars, and we've already caught up with all of the shows the Hub's DVR'd. Bravo also hasn't had many newest RH episodes per se, but I have a couple recorded. What I'm going back and watching from the beginning is the crazy 'Sister Wives'...why?? Well, it's like seeing a wreck, you don't know WHY you want to see it you just do !?! It is interesting though to watch how each 'wife' has evolved since the beginning. How they're all each so different from each other. Which, I ask myself what type of wife does the husband go for?

Blog 365 ~ Sunday Sermon ~ Gal Pal Lunch ~ more Tax Prep

Slept a bit later and I know it's because I've yet to go to bed earlier at night....I REALLY need to work on that. Not that I scrambled around doing stuff ie making the bed, straightening living room [darn cats], but I would like to enjoy a bit 'quieter' coffee time before the Hub's finishes his treadmill routine...

Dressed for Church and going to Gal Pal lunch today since Mac won't be here on the 27th for our regular scheduled ladies luncheon.

Scripture
Rev. Colby Smith
Ephesians 2:4-10 (NRSVUE)
But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when
we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace
you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the
heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come he might show the
immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is
the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are what he
has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand
so that we may walk in them.

LEADER: The word of God
for the people of God.
PEOPLE:  Thanks be to God.

Sermon
Rev. Colby Smith
“You Didn't Make the Bed, But You May Lie In It”

Blog 365 ~ Princess Party ~ Tax Prepping still!

Though I'm still getting our tax stuff together,

I did take the afternoon off to work on "still" shot photography for one of my girlies who hosted a Princess Party at her cupcake shop.
I helped setup the tables, and then all the little Princesses showed up.

Princess Tianna was so sweet with all the little girls. 2 hours of food, Beignet's, games and dancing. They all earned their Princess status with the Princess pledge.

Church tomorrow, earlier date for Gal Pal lunch since Mac is leaving/driving to AZ next week ahead of us, and I'll do another vacation update post...Day 2 = spent A LOT of $$
