Blog 365 ~ Oh What a B.U.S.Y Life ! ~ I Got This...

Last Night I had the pleasure of doing the Race Photography for this Inaugural race event....Talk about Fun! OMG...And there was Trunk or Treat after the race for the Kiddo's.

I'm Loving the Shirt!!
Enjoy a few of my favorite pic's from the race...

The race will support direct services for Recovery Cafe in Lexington. Here's a little about them...
-->Recovery Cafe Lexington is a peer-led, peer-run community space for individuals to build recovery relationships and find supportive resources. They aren’t the type of café that sells sandwiches or lattés; But a gathering space for folks on a recovery journey and allies. They celebrate every type and pathway of recovery (substance use, mental health, housing insecurity, and more). No matter the need, they have resources to help; whether you or someone you know is in long-term recovery or contemplating making a change. They've invited anyone to attend a support group, a sober social event, or see a Recovery Coach who can help be a guide through unique challenges. A new life is waiting for you!

Recovery Cafe Vision is To empower people in their own recovery with a welcoming community driven sanctuary to connect with one another, heal, feel accepted, loved, and worthy of success in their life.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES:
--->1.Connect with divine Love in ourselves and others,
--->2. Show Respect
--->3. Cultivate Compassion,
--->4. Practice Forgiveness,
--->5. Encourage Growth,
--->6. Give Back

Now for this morning, which started at ZeroDarkThirty😒. Still wired from Friday night's activity and Monster Mash & Dash fun I didn't think I'd ever settle down and get some sleep...But here we are doing what we do best.

Off to Lexington again for the 2nd Annual Flower Power 5K...The morning was a lot cooler so I tried to dress as warm as I could without getting too hot...I got there way earlier than I expected and it was to dark out still to get any kind of 'work' done.

Though it Poured the rain, I always have gear ready

Finally it stopped and we were able to start the race...
Only one Kiddo braved doing the Kid's race...
Decent attendance with Urban Bourbon Race, and several 'regulars' traveled to Cincy for Queen Bee, then of course UK Wildcat game going on...
Cheer Squad Always Winning!

Lexington Elevating Abilities Foundation provided caps to top 3 overall men & women, [PS - they gave me one too as long as I promised to wear and help advertise for them...Heck Yeah!!]

Benefitting the Lexington Elevating Abilities Foundation, Their mission is to relieve the financial burden of therapeutic and private educational services for families and children in the state of Kentucky.
The Lexington Elevating Abilities Foundation team knows firsthand how challenging it can be for families to receive coverage for therapeutic services, therapeutic devices, educational interventions, and tutoring. The teams of passionate therapists, educators, and parents want to assist families in Kentucky by eliminating the financial burden that these important services can carry. They believe that every child should receive the care that they deserve, regardless of healthcare restrictions, so they can continue to learn and grow within their extraordinary abilities.

Here are a few of my favorite pic's...
