Blog 365 [almost] ~ I Believe!

I Believe!

After a quick floor mopping while the PurrKids were sleeping I headed to the Gym...
Silver Sneakers X2 so far this week... #GoMe

Home long enough to eat a quick bite for lunch, Quick Shine wax treat the floors, [PurrKids still sleeping]
then off again for a follow-up Tea & Treasure meeting at Heritage Hospice. I confirmed being on the 2024 committee and will ask if I can do photos during meetings ONLY as advertising for the event.

From there it was a stopover with the hubby for the McDowell House Appreciation Party,
I can't wait to get in the Gardens next year and do some photography...
My handsome hubby, me still in 'workout' clothes...he's not feeling all that well, remnants from taking a Covid & RSV shot in the same arm. [serves him right]

Home for a bit, get the hubby settled and then I went to 6pm Bible Study....
I missed last Sunday church and still need to watch the video,

My Busy as always Day in a nutshell, tomorrow the MahJongg ladies are doing the 1st annual Christmas luncheon & shopping excursion. And with our 'guest' Gal Pal Monica.

Blog 365 [almost] ~ off to the Big City

 Waking up to this---🠗

Was not what I wanted to see yet....Thanks to the 'girl' we have a start for next year's project....[sigh]

We are off...headed this early morning to the big City of Louisville,
This is month 2 of the hubby's clinical research study. He's done well thus far and has seen 'some' improvements with his PAD.
He mentioned to his research nurse Lisa that he did his Covid & RSV shot yesterday - Um What?? - and he wasn't feeling the best today.... As the day went on, he continued to digress, and began having body aches, and slight joint pain...[sigh] OMG this Man! A very quick stop for late breakfast before home to get him settled for the rest of the day.

#nursewifeduties to the rescue.

Blog 365 [almost] ~ Race re-cap links

** Jus'Sayin **

Early Sunday morning and sadly I will miss in-person church. Another Sunday race event and I'm off to do photos...But first let's talk a bit about Saturday's race....

Is he not the Cutest!!!

Woodford County Santa Shuffle 5K, I really like doing race events here. Versailles is so pretty and homey...
My friend Barb with her silly Dinosaur headband...

This is the Perry family...All Girls, [I can relate]!!! They did very well...

Gavin Stephens has Cerebral Palsy and is out there staying as active as he can. Gavin was so fun to talk to. 20 yrs old, works everyday [except Holidays he said, LOL] and is looking for an apartment.

Read more about the event here--> Santa Shuffle 5K

After the race I came straight home to clean up, grab a bite of dinner [thanks to planning & cooking ahead] as it was date night! We had tickets to see the Celtic Women Christmas program.
If you ever get the chance to see them Please do!

**********

As I said I've missed Church this morning so will try and view it sometime this week. For now let's talk about todays' race. It was in Frankfort and at a new to me venue area. I'm really glad I was asked to do photos. The RD committee was the best so far this year keeping everyone in 'the Loop' regarding the race. That in itself was refreshing. I was not the only photographer, but somehow ended up being the Primary[??]. just over 330 runner/walkers and of course kids dash.
He was such a well behaved young boy waiting on his Mistress to finish running,

This large of a crowd we had a Lead Bicyclist [Brian] to keep everyone on the right path/course,

Did I mention there were just over 340 signed up!!

Age group awards were 3X3 hand painted by Phyllis Rogers, each one was different.

Of course Frosty....

My friend Linda with her Paw'tner Teddy Bear,

It was so much fun, as always, and the course was one I need to revisit on my own [sometime?when there's time?], and I look forward to hopefully getting asked back.

Blog 365 [almost] ~ Sinking Saturday

No it's not what you Think... I refuse the Sink! What I'm talking about is my 'Sinking Funds'. I made December the start of my 2024 year, and along with that I am updating my SF plan/goal. [another update for my New Year post I'm so excited to share my 2024 Word]

IF you need help with getting your SF setup/ideas, I'd be glad to offer assistance/suggestions, BUT I'm not a Pro.
Kumiko Love aka The Budget Mom is someone I follow on IG. Though I haven't purchased any of her plans or products she does offer freebies when you sign up for her newsletter. I've managed to get so much inspiration & knowledge from them.
About Me: I have struggled financially as a single Mom, then as a single person [responsible $$wise for family] so saving &/or sinking funds was hard! Fast forward a bunch of years and I'm married to an Amazing man who is a saver and has long term goals such as mine. This has helped me to start and continue my-way of doing sinking funds.

Here's my 'New Year' in December Cash Envelope/Sinking funds plans/goals,

Cash Envelope/Sinking Funds
[SF budget needed/$$saved-carry over=?balance?]

⮚💰Hair 500$/178$ = 322$ balance
⮚💰PetCare 350$/310$ = 40$ balance
⮚💰In:Out Projects 500$/197$ = 303$ balance
⮚💰Trips 4500$/2290$ = 2210$ balance
[trips also include various 'day' adventures
with GalPal Karrell]
⮚💰Car Maintenance 900$/350$ = 550$ balance
[increased budget amount..Ethel needs new tires next year]
⮚💰Promo Items 1200$/235$ = 965$ balance
⮚💰2024 Christmas 1500$/00$ = 1500$ balance
⮚💰Emergency Fund 1000$/00$ = 1000$ balance
**********
💰💰💰Total Balance needed = 6890$ 💰💰💰
Is it doable?? Maybe?? But gonna give it my all..
