I Thought this Day would never End...though it was a Really good Day!
The Morning started with of course Coffee and Couple time with the Mr...it's ''our'' time to regroup and do our planning. Mr is gearing up to return to work after the winter shut down. He's being referred as the 'Director' of the Gift Shop & Constitution Square. And he is for sure!
I had my first stop at Heritage Hospice to take photos of the Scattered Heart Project...
Volunteers painted a bunch of Valentine Hearts to be delivered to various nursing facilities that are serviced by us...and I did take photos at them, I just can't share the patients but here's a decoration I liked.
Our local newspaper reporter came to get info for a story, and as always I made another great connection!
Meet Josely. It started with her getting my full name so that I would get credit when pictures are printed in the paper... Annnd she's already contacted me about getting/doing other stuff so GO ME!
I made it [barely] back in time to go to my Kiwanis meeting...Dr Russ Goodwin was today's speaker, talking about our local Habitat for Humanity. It was interesting to know how the whole process of building and for people to qualify.
After the meeting...
a stop at 10th Planet was in order for this weekend's race, Dash for Dolls 5K/10K
[race season is upon us]
A VERY Brisk, Cold steak mile done!
A quick stop to get the G'kid Motrin for her wisdom teeth pain
Her wisdoms aren't bad they're just crowding all the rest of her teeth. Appointment has been set but like many other Dr appointments it takes forever to get in unless it's an emergency situation...until then [sigh]
Finally home to get in the office which I did at the table - Mr was coming home soon -
A bit of libation, thank you Mich Ultra, snack of PB crackers, camera ready to download & send photos, and..All.. the.. Emails...! But a Happy surprise email was in my inbox!!
I'm now on the City of Danville Chamber Board of Directors !! This was something I was working towards, but, didn't think it would happen so soon. It'll be a learning curve for me, there's so much I want for my city to get out of town people here and spend money while having a good time. In the email I have a 'packet' to get filled out and take to the next [my first] meeting. I told the Mr there might be a phone AND computer upgrade coming sooner than I expected, LOL! And in his supportive way replied OK Roob!
Have I mentioned it's been a Day...
I'm taking some time to relax with this Queen, then eating leftover Spinach Quiche
and watching UK Women's B'Ball.
