My Main Man JinX wanted cuddles this morning....I needed them too.

Today is the first day of No More Mom 🚕Taxi [sigh]. The kid was released from wearing a full boot and only has a 'corset' brace she will be wearing much like the boot until PT says otherwise....back to being just the Mom🤷.

Blog 365 ~ Sunday Funday

Morning cuddles with my boy Jinx.

First Baptist Church service.

A quick lunch then the hub's and I went to see a cute little production 'A Doll House'.

The show/production is from Scarlet Cup Theater present through our local Arts center, and it was viewed at The Great American Dollhouse Museum here in town.

We went a bit early to tour around the museum [again]...

There's something to see for all ages....some of the 'dollhouse' depictions remind me of my Grandma's house growing up...we were SO poor and there were SO many of us, I feel like it's partly what has given me all the drive I have today.

I say partly because I had the...most...Amazing Dad. So many lessons from him growing up.

So, if you've been following &/or joining in the Happy Homemaker Monday posts hosted by Sandra you would have seen I've become enthralled with Fern Michaels 'Sisterhood' series books, ok Obsessed...I have read a couple that I bought from Half Price Books bookstore in Lexington, but they just haven't been able to have all of them on the shelf for me to purchase at one time....next best thing Walmart.com!

Yes, I'm a Bibliophile, a hoarder of reading material for during down time [don't laugh, it sometimes happens] mainly reading before bedtime. Both my parents were avid readers so guessing it comes from them?? 

As I said I ordered them from Walmart.com and didn't pay retail...I didn't pay Half Price Books price either!! Each book was under 5$ with some under 4$ and free shipping. I feel like I've actually saved money since I'm not driving 35miles one way to the store, AND, my time. So here we go, I have all of the balance I haven't read, ready for some cooler nights to have a cup of Tea, snuggle with my JinX, grab a book, and chill out. Will they last through fall/winter ??

Blog 365 ~ another Amazing Sunday & Bump Photo Shoot

 

Starting the week off with Coffee [of course] and syncing our calendar/schedules....the hub's has been amazed knowing he has the need for scheduling. Before he retired he said and I quote 'I'm not going to be that busy, I'll remember everything'. Yeah, well he HAS a calendar full of events [not quite like mine but still] and also records things on his phone....

Church today was a bit busy...first we had a Baptism...

Visiting Pastor Clark was invited to stand with Dr. Briscoe for 

Communion.....

I've said it sooo many times, but again I love his style of preaching. I'm so glad I switched.

After church the hub's and I had a quick lunch of garden fresh tomato sandwiches and off I went for 'Bump' photo shoot.

Tomorrow is Labor Day and I'm hoping she doesn't go into labor because I'd like to get another session with these two....I'll share a couple more pic's tomorrow...

Later tonight I still need to do my weekly Intentions/Goals list. I sorta flew by the seat of my skirt last week and I felt like I missed something🤷....I just don't know what it was though😕. I'm that person that NEEDS to cross something off a 📝list.

Blog 365 ~ No Early:ThirtyAM

 

Another rare Saturday without a race to go to....😐 this is most unusual...Got the Hub's off to work and the first thing I see on social media was this.

Guess What !?! Bring...It...ON...I'm so ready to have the cooler temps and not just at nighttime. I need to begin another 'training' for the many race events I plan will to do in 2024. But for today, and since I do have a Saturday off I'm going to get a few things done outside & inside.

First let me just say the customer service I received from SHOKZ was superb!

I had bought these 'ear bob' thingies to listen to my Spotify while walk/run training and they quit working. I couldn't get them to connect to my phone and neither would they on the hub's phone....Long story short, I sent a email, they sent postage to return them, I got a new SHOKZ ear bob the following week!! AND...follow-up emails asking if the replacement pair were working....! How rare it's been to get such amazing CS. So without delay I put them on and headed outside. [disregard the graying hair--post coming on it with budget update]

First up was trimming more of the Gooseneck flowers growing beside the driveway & sidewalk, bopping the whole time to Spotify....

Next...harvested some Mauva flower seeds. They need to finish drying for a few days and I'll use the seeds for planting next year in front corner of yard [remember the rock...]

Next I finished mowing the back yard. It got hot rather quickly, but glad to get these items done. With the weather getting hotter again I'm not sure I'll be mowing much longer... There's plenty of 'other' things to get done though.

After a nice shower and lunch I chilled out until the hub's came home....we decided to go out to eat as I'll be doing more Baby Bump photos tomorrow after church... I should have taken pic's of our meal. We went to Cattlemen's and we each ordered the same meal! After the eating from the salad bar we ended up bringing one meal home with us - and of course dessert !
