It's only Monday

So first lets talk about night shift--12 hr night shift. 7a-7p the hrs that the MR is working for the next few weeks. For me this means that I need to try and be quiet as much as possible so he can get some sleep, and it also means I'm not able to do my normal daily cleaning chores which means I either do them 'After' he leaves for work 'Which' is when I'm getting my gym time in 'Which' means not a whole lot is going to get done!! This old Lady is tired after 60-90 min of Abs, KettlebellAMPD, Zumba and tonight we started doing Arms class.

Guess What, none of this matters to anyone but Me!

I'll get to everything on his days off and start all over again next week. sigh!

 

Starting my day off with Coffee & Conversation with the MR is Priority for me, I listen to him gripe, comment, complain about everything that's going on at the workplace (I'm retired from there) send him to bed and most of the time I just FB'ed or do laundry downstairs. Today however instead of FB I went for walk, it was suppose to be just a short walk, yea well 4MILES LATER I get back home. Oh well at least I got my steps in Right !?!

 

My Mind tends to get busier & busier then stuff like this happens;

My weather this week looks like this--hoping for some of the same in Va Beach, Va leaving Friday (maybe Thurs) Bobbie, Mindy & Starr has a Half Marathon and I'm doing the 1Miler on Saturday WooHoo!

3-23-13 Carol Short~Butterscotch Pie 5K

     Yesterday's race was not a planned/scheduled run but in the running community everyone tries to share and pass along whatever 'goodies' there happens to be. Bobbie was offered a free entry to the Butterscoth Pie 5k in Harrodsburg, big thanks goes out the Sheri for thinking of my baby.
     It was tough for her to run though,

she has come down with the sinus/cold junk that is going around, and before Anyone thinks I give it to her, well your Wrong. She happens to work with the public, she may as well be in preschool with all the germs that comes through the office handling paperwork and money..good Lord ....Yuck!
     Being the trooper that she is, (plus the free t-shirt) she calls to let me know we're running Sat. and you all know my response is~OK what time!!

     It was surprising to see all the people there, it was cold!

     You could tell that 'Carol Short' was a much loved person. Friends and family filled the church along with food items to be auctioned off. I witnessed a Butterscotch pie bring in $125.00, 1 pie people, just 1pie.

     From the obituary I found online Carol was only 60 when she past away, prime of your life age. She graduated from Harrodsburg High school in 1970 and was a former employee of Cricketer Mfg. Co. and also worked at a local restaurant called 'Aunt Gravy's'.At her church she was 1st Lady of the Centennial Baptist Church, a leader of the Women's Fellowship, and also on the Usher Board.
     Carol I regret that we never met, rest assured that your memory lives on in your community. As you are looking over your family and friends I hope you take the time to keep a watchful eye on all my 'runner' kids as well  here are just a few of them.....

#10 catch up post 4-21-12 Run for Russia, Mt Vernon Ky

This race was one of the Rockcastle Series and the second race that Bobbie was able to compete in. There were a few from the running group there as well, for March it was somewhat cool to start but soon warmed up for the runners. I Love being part of the 'team' and taking pictures of everyone, little did I know that Dwain Harris also noticed. More on that later, and there are a lot of posts yet to make in order to catch up!

This race was an evening race but when the kids started running it was actually still daylight. And one of the few races that the SIL can also compete in. The weather was picture perfect, not real warm not really chilly perfect! It's also the first race in the 'Trifecta' series and with the age group place tonight Bobbie is on her way! The grand-daughters also came along tonight which does'nt happen a lot. Another post yet to come will show that this is race #2 for today, so I'm a little tired and ready to go home, that is after some dinner at the SIL favorite place Frisch's Big Boy!!

     1st up 'KSD 5K Fun Run' February 2012...this right FEBRUARY!! And though it's not snowing, it had been raining and was still misting rain before and during the race. Yea that's right rain and cold!! But as mom of a runner there I am!

    

      I orginally started out dog sitting for one of the runners but when the race was getting ready to start I asked my H2B (husband 2 be) to hold the leash as I wanted to snap a few of the beginning, no problem right? He's with me and Bobbie, everyone has seen us right?

    

     Nope the dog thing didn't happen she got really excited with all the runners and then her master went by as well-not a good thing. So she ended up with one of the walkers who is also their friend.

 

     H2B even stayed awhile for the awards then went home to thaw out-such a trouper he is-That's it for this post the season had started once again!!
