From my social media post,
Because 4:15 am came Oh...So...Early !
Todays race event was the Wild Hearts Fun Run...
My runner girl Ashley has a son - Rex - who was born with a heart condition.
I was beyond honored to be a small part of the great organization Kerrington's Heart LLC, and was their 'official' race photographer!!
As I try to always do, I arrived early to the race to get lots of before photos of ..well everything.
The Superhero themed race offers something for everyone (5K Run/Walk, 10K Run & Kids Super Sprint)!
We had my favorite DJ James Hummel
as a runner himself he knows how to get everyone engaged with music and engaging spectators.
All the kiddo's received a finishers medal....here's Christie ready to hand out a few...
The race supported Kerrington's Heart. Providing hope, help and healing to CHD families.
The purpose of this event was not only to increase overall awareness concerning Congenital Heart Defects (CHD), but to raise funds in furtherance of their mission to provide education, support, and encouragement for children with heart disease, their families, and caregivers in the state of Kentucky.
CHD is the #1 birth defect in America, and they are fighting every day to make a difference in the lives of Kentucky families affected by this condition.

Of course since Kerrington's is ALL about SuperHero's and having Cosplay at the event was fun for all ages...
Yes there's a Whole Lot of Runner/Walkers today....
Until the Very Last participants...
Best Dog was another of my runners pet Ruger...
I'm totally obsessed with this Big Boy...
One of my regular Paw-Runners is this guy...
The 'Princess' of the day was Alyssa and she was also the Race Ambassador for Wildhearts.
Is she not THE cutest!! And she ran in the 5K...
Lot's of vendors...
From the Start of the race...
And so many in between....
It's been an Amazing Day and I'm beyond Grateful to have played a small part documenting everyone through pictures.
