I haven't done a Feline Friday in a while so...

here's our Buddy! Still rambunctious and follows the Mr around like a puppy.. he does ''cuddle'' with me at bedtime only while I'm reading/watching TV, otherwise he really doesn't have much to do with me.

I had quite the Busy Day yesterday..

All I can say is October is kicking my 😏 you know what😏

*Car maintenance 100$ [upped amt to 150$ may need new battery for winter]

[Battery for Ethel is around 180$ - so another change - 60$to-go]

*Hair 400$ [upped amt to 500$ due to new hair dresser]

[I made the decision to NOT color my hair anymore, $saving$] 

*Vet/Pet Care 350$

[Thank goodness all the Purr'kids are healthy]

I need 4970$ to meet SF 2023 goals...I don't think THAT is going to happen, but I'll put a small dent in each before the end of the year. All in All, I'm pleased as to where I am. I could have put more in each of my categories, but instead did some Major Freezer/Pantry re-stocking. 2024 Sinking Funds will most likely be similar in amounts, with Travel being the biggest change so roughly 9000$ is the total goal. I currently have a CC balance that I'm also aggressively paying off [stupid Credit reports lower your rating when you don't owe anyone Go Figure!]. Christmas Budget $ Monies $ is already in Savings account & I have a 500$ ''pad'' in my checking.  Holiday meals will also be scaled back due to work schedules for the G'kids, what will matter is that we are together.

Tonight I'm headed for the first of 5 photography event/opportunities. Monster Mash & Dash is another inaugural race supporting Recovery Cafe in Lexington....150+ are signed up with a Trunk & Treat for the kiddo's. I'm looking forward to it and plan on having So. Much. Fun taking pic's of everyone in costume. Tomorrow will consist of Race in the morning [Lexington], race here in my Hometown, then I'm taking Homecoming photos for my youngest G'daughter...Sunday after church I'll be doing photos for my 'Foster' daughter and 2 of her friends for their 50th Birthday's....Shewee I'm tired just writing & thinking about it all. I'll try and get the blog updated as I go, 😉 or not!

Most all my friends are talented in some way/somehow, but my Friend Mac is quite the talented person with making fused glass.

The hubby has contracted her work for the gift shop where he works...I really think she's going to make a fair amount of 'pocket' $$ and it's a way to get her mind off of other life events she has going on, along with her volunteer work, then she's going to be a seasonal worker for Keeneland race track next month. Once the holidays start rolling - and we are planning our trips [WooHoo NYC-AZ & Charleston we're coming!!] there won't be anytime for pity parties!

Time to charge the camera and get dinner started. It's a busy [ yep another one] weekend with an Early Saturday race, Saturday evening 40th Pastoral anniversary dinner & Trail Race Sunday morning...my October is booked with 10 race events, another race I will be doing, radio segments on Monday's, 5 different meetings scheduled, 2 photo shoots, 1 TedX forum, Halloween party, 1 football game[nephew starts Basketball in Oct as well], meet up with my friend Margaret for park walks, hubby Dr/leg scan appointment, 4 Bible Studies...not counting 13 Silver Sneaker classes, and walk/run training days for races I'm signed up for and starting Plank'tober....and going to do my best to keep up with Blog 365.

Blog 365 ~ Foot Friday ~ Feline Friday

 First let me just say it's been a long week...and that's ok. I'm sharing a newspaper article regarding the accident my kid & G'kid was in 2 weeks ago...

Yes I was Scared...Scared of what I would have done to the person who hit them...Police report states driver was traveling 25 MPH turning a CORNER!!

W😠T😠H!!

 And admitted that she wasn't paying attention [yep it's in writing] and said she thought she 'hit something' but wasn't sure what it was until finally stopping. I'm praying so hard not to react badly...but it's so difficult.

That was my baby & G'baby.

At the ER we took these,

daughter in neck brace,she ended up with a concussion.

G'kid ankle/foot/leg

 though severe, her injuries weren't as bad..but Bad Enough.

I took the kid back to orthopedic surgeon today

this is her updated swelling/brusing

long story short 3 fractures & torn ligaments in ankle, she's on the right track for healing and can return to work via 🚕Mom Taxi🚕[aka Moi]

I take the G'kid back on Monday for her injury re-evaluation. 

I know it is what it is, and I Thank God they are alive. 

[if your wondering if anything happened to the driver the answer is a Big Fat Nope...

we ain't done yet😉]

OMG my boy JinX!!

weight was around 1.3# when we got him....I admit we really didn't need another cat. But I've wanted an Orange Tabby for a very long time....

Now look at him!!

He is 2years old & The Most Ornery 12# furball Ever!

But, also he's my JinXy boy and cuddle bug sleeping in the crook of my arm like a cradled baby at night.

Tomorrow morning I'm working a race in Richmond so Early:Thirty wake up call, once I'm home I'll load/post & email photos, try and rest a bit then I'M walk/running the A Midnight Summer 5K downtown Lexington!! Shew I'm already tired just thinking about it, LOL.

My PurrBoy Goober...Found in Walmart parking lot in summer of 2018. The poor thing didn't even have all his teeth yet! We took him to the vet and was told he needed to be bottle fed every 3 hours, and kept on a heating pad [on low] and IF he made it 30 hours he would have a fighting chance....as you can see he's bright eyed and a very healthy Boy!

Thinking this photo of our PunkN is just too Cute! It's like he's saying 'what'cha doing Mom?' He and the other 2 older boys won't be happy with me next Monday though....taking them for teeth cleaning. I Know!! Why are we doing this. Well they are 11yr, 6yr, & 5yr....it's all a part of pet care parenthood.

Friends Friday with coffee at 'our' local spot Dry Stack this morning. The hub's didn't go today though. He had a bad night with his hand. Something we [I] learned during his recovery from leg surgeries is when the body is finally at rest, your nerve endings are better able to ''talk'' to each other and ''reconnect'' for healing. ...UNFORTUNATELY... IT'S WHEN YOUR BODY IS A FULL REST MODE!! Guess What ?? It's during the Middle of the Night!! So, around midnight he's rummaging around the first aid tub looking for ointment and tape...[it was right there in front BTW]. Then at 3am he's looking for pain meds...he refused to get anything too strong so 500mg Tylenol is all there is.. 😩 ..OMG! Yes it was a difficult night for him, but it was for me as well. Rehab starts Monday morning, there's no telling how painful that could be for him.

It's been raining hard most of the day here in central Ky. Our race tmrw is a looong one as it's a Marathon/Half-Marathon relay OR you could choose to go either distance on your on. The Kid has a team [Danville's Finest] and I'm looking for to not just them, but all the other teams coming, so far there are 29 teams signed up with anywhere from 4 - 8 runners per team. I'm just hoping the rain clears up. At any rate I did go and get a few clear plastic drop cloths & clips to make sides on the pop-up so at the very least we [the Kid & team] can stay warmer & dry..🤞..

Back home to get a few daily household chores done, balance the checkbook, update online bill pay, balance the rental house acct., update race calendar, read my Devotional, and a chapter in my reading pleasure book, 2 loads of laundry, and worked in the office a couple of hours. Luckily dinner is leftover roast/potatoes/carrots/grn beans...and luckily the hub's doesn't mind!

Charging my camera batteries, planning breakfast on-the-go for in the Early:Thirty morning tomorrow, along with portable lunch of wrapped mozzarella cheese sticks, Then settling in for the evening. Hope everyone has had a Good, Dry Day!

My Gray Tuxedo PunkN ! Abandoned by his mama in my foster daughter's - Lynette - flower bed summer 2017. Poor thing barely had his eyes open and didn't even have all his teeth in yet. Lynette was in no position to keep him and called me. The hub's and I had lost our beloved dog Andi and our other cat was still grieving as much as we were...little did we know how much we needed him. I took him to the vet first thing, and he was given a quick once over. Bottle feeding with kitten supplement every 3-4 hours & lots of cuddling! Naming him came by accident [as did all of our PurrBoys] He became very used to the snuggling/cuddling thing and I would whisper in his ear that he was my little punkin! I can still whisper his name and he comes running. He'll come lay on my chest or in my arms like a baby would just for a few minutes cuddling, and by whispering kiss, kiss he'll nibble my neck or jawline for kisses....Sooo Sweet! At 18# he's the heaviest of all our boys, but he's also tall and long.

I drove Gal Pal Linda to the airport this morning as she's headed to Arizona early to meet up with friends for a few days before All of us meet ....5 days and counting, LOL !

 Pet care for my boy #JinX - healthy report from the vet, weighs in at a muscular 9.8#

This Boy, This Orange Tabby...I've wanted one ever since I lost my Gunther. Technically JinX is a rescue even though I got him from a friend. See he and some siblings ''rode'' to town in her car engine ! Once she FB posted them being saved by a DPD officer climbing under/in her car, I asked if she would consider letting me have him....She took applications for all her kittens ! Now that's what I call a true Rescue Pet Parent. I'm grateful to have made the cut, my boy JinX is a Cuddler, and vocal cat. Cats are family too! #clinecribcats
