Blog 365 ~ Blazing Blue Devil 5K Re-Cap

I'll be doing Early:Thiry Saturday mornings for the rest of the year. Team RaceRise is keeping this race photographer B.u.s.y!! I'm not complaining.

Thanks to everyone that have reached out regarding the kid's accident. I'm grateful to God for sparing their lives and letting me continue to have them with me.  Now onto today...

Today's event help support Henry Clay Cross Country...the race has been successful enough to pay for cross country meets and award banquet at the end of their season.

Tommy on the far left is the head coach and one of my runner kids...Marcus on the far right assists and is another of my runner kids.

Such a Great turn-out this morning...

Not a 'normal' guest of the race but it was nice to see the National Guard tent set-up and talking to the kids about opportunities available for them.
Deep down I hope some of them asked about the scholarship program through National Guard..

I'm in Love with this year's design...and 👀at the 🥇Sweeeet!

We had LOT's of Ladies today...

Unfortunately, we did have one that had a fall---or 2...
Poor Libby, Thanks to Maureen for helping her finish,,,

There's always someone versed inmedical care at our events.

Of course I have to feature the PawRunners...

And of course, I can't forget one of my Main Men, Darwin,
His wife didn't make this morning. Hopefully next time.

Blog 365 ~ Foot Friday ~ Feline Friday

First let me just say it's been a long week...and that's ok. I'm sharing a newspaper article regarding the accident my kid & G'kid was in 2 weeks ago...

Yes I was Scared...Scared of what I would have done to the person who hit them...Police report states driver was traveling 25 MPH turning a CORNER!!
W😠T😠H!!
And admitted that she wasn't paying attention [yep it's in writing] and said she thought she 'hit something' but wasn't sure what it was until finally stopping. I'm praying so hard not to react badly...but it's so difficult.
That was my baby & G'baby.
At the ER we took these,
daughter's foot

daughter in neck brace, she ended up with a concussion.
G'kid ankle/foot/leg

though severe, her injuries weren't as bad..but Bad Enough.
both after a few days

I took the kid back to orthopedic surgeon today
this is her updated swelling/brusing
long story short 3 fractures & torn ligaments in ankle, she's on the right track for healing and can return to work via 🚕Mom Taxi🚕[aka Moi]

I take the G'kid back on Monday for her injury re-evaluation.
I know it is what it is, and I Thank God they are alive.

[if your wondering if anything happened to the driver the answer is a Big Fat Nope...
we ain't done yet😉]
I'll update later as I can.

********
Next is Feline Friday
OMG my boy JinX!!
weight was around 1.3# when we got him....I admit we really didn't need another cat. But I've wanted an Orange Tabby for a very long time....
Now look at him!!
He is 2years old & The Most Ornery 12# furball Ever!
But, also he's my JinXy boy and cuddle bug sleeping in the crook of my arm like a cradled baby at night.

**********
Tomorrow morning I'm working a race in Richmond so Early:Thirty wake up call, once I'm home I'll load/post & email photos, try and rest a bit then I'M walk/running the A Midnight Summer 5K downtown Lexington!! Shew I'm already tired just thinking about it, LOL.

Until then....

Blog 365 ~ Thrifty Thursday

The past few months I've been doing my 'fall/winter' stock pile plan. I already have 90% of my canned goods I wanted and 100% of non-perishable/paper products. The new Kroger ad had Chuck Roast & Whole Purdue Chickens on sale...

6.99$ a Pound Yes Please!

1.69$ for Purdue again, Yes Please!

Everything got wrapped in 6 layers of newspaper, then wrapped in Freezer paper and marked with the contents & month/year. I've already stocked the freezer with 80/20 Ground Round in 3# chubs and 1# pound chubs so good to go with that item. All I want as far as meat goes is Pork Loin chops and Boneless Chicken Breasts. Then as I need then I'll pick up a few frozen pkg meals for quick dinners....

How is your stock pile??

Are you planning ahead??

Blog 365 ~ 47 years have flown by....

Happy Birthday to MY baby!

Through the Years...

Through the Tears...

Through the Cheers...

You're my Greatest Accomplishment in Life!

I love you a bushel and a peck
A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck
A hug around the neck and a barrel and a heap
A barrel and a heap and I'm talkin' in my sleep
About you, about you
'Cause I love you a bushel and a peck
You bet your purdy neck I do

Blog 365 ~ Happy National Cat Day

The Cline Crib is 'loaded' with PurrBabies....

It all started with this guy....our #headboyincharge Roadie,

What a Pile !
L-R Jinx, PunkN, Goober, BuddyBoy

Last but not least....Little'n, aka:Girlie Girl, aka:Queenie
She's still quite feral and will not let you pick her up. She's developed some kind of skin irritation and has pulled off plugs of fur from various places on her body. She's still eating, drinking water, and going to the litter box so not sure what the what is going on with her. I've managed to spray stuff on her and starting to look a little better.

Still not sure What We Were Thinking having 6 PurrKids in the house, other than once I put $$ into them I want them safe...and alive [even though we're sweeping multiple times a day].
Not pictured are the ''now'' 2 outdoor cats....Chewy.com loves us!

Blog 365 ~ HBD Baylee ~ Race 1 of 3 for this weekend

Happy 25th to Baylee my 'Second to No One' G'Kid.
She doesn't really speak let alone see any of this side of the family [though in communication with her sister-thank goodness] so I'm not sure how she's doing...
This is one of the last few photos I have of her, My Love is unconditional & I do pray she will eventually come around.

**********
As I mentioned before I have a few 'lofty' goals I'm WILL be doing in 2024....one of them is Muddy Princess.
