Do you remember your favorite lunch lady? Did you love school pizza?

The race was presented by the Fayette County School Nutrition Association . FCSNA is a non-profit organization that aides local school nutrition employees and public-school students. FCSNA provides annual student scholarships, employee scholarship, and multiple recognition awards. As well as offering continuing education for their members to develop career skill sets while offering a localized sense of community.
Members and fellow child nutrition professionals have maintained their dedication throughout the pandemic, which EVERYONE knows how hard that was. They've worked tirelessly to provide meals for adolescents and will continue to do so throughout the years to come. If it wasn't known before 2020, it is now clear that some heroes do indeed, wear aprons instead of capes. 100% of proceeds and donations from our race will bolster our student & employee scholarship program.

Channel your favorite lunch lady from the past. Circa 1970’s. We’ll have a fun prize for the best dressed “lady”.

The Kids were so excited to get on the Start line....

My friends Maggie & Walter attended...

Little Will is growing up so Much!

Blog 365 ~ Dad's on my mind....

A great start to my day finding the dishwasher empty...
hubby received major marriage points.

My 'A Runners Mom and More' Get Moving team are
getting those activity minutes turned in and winning!

Not sure why but I've had my Dad on my mind a Lot lately....
His favorite flower were Marigold's...

I've planted them in his remembrance every year since he passed.
It didn't matter where I lived or how broke I was,
I always had them planted somewhere.

More pictures of them will be shared as they get established,
for now I need to focus
on getting packed for Cincy & Flying Pig race weekend
the Kid is picking me up leaving tomorrow mid-morning...
Am I worried?? Maybe a little, no training [my fault],
but no expectations either.
It'll Be 🤷What It'll Be 🤷.

Blog 365 ~ a bit of This & That then Worship Wednesday

It's a super pack Wednesday for me so after getting breakfast done, the hubby off to 'work', and the daily household chores I got to work outside mowing and getting some weed eating done,

I managed to get the front done in time
for a quick shower...

spifted up for Garden Club Derby Luncheon !
No Hat for me though. Don't like them and didn't
think about making a fascinator.

We've been collecting various seeds for Eastern Ky flood victims.

'Fancy Like' with lipstick and all...

the center pieces were arranged by different
Garden Club members with 1 lucky winner
from each table got to take it home.

Visitors are always Welcomed, and given the opportunity
to ask questions about the club before deciding
if they want to join.

Todays speaker was columnist Tom Eblen from the
Lexington Herald Leader. Derby theme event = Derby
photos from all the years he's been covering the race.

FOOD!!
Amazing food....Chicken breast lightly fried with berry sauce,
on a bed of grits, with asparagus Oh My Yum...

Derby themed cookies for desert...

club member Mimi who was Hilarious! And informed me I need to
start sitting with her at meetings...this way she's not the
only one getting in trouble...OMG!!!!

Once I got home it was time to finish up with the
mowing [side & backyard]
and weed eating. It's one of those days...

Another shower to clean up, light dinner with the hubs
and off we went to the evening edition
of Bible Study at FBC

Back home and changed into relax [bum sweats] clothes
then crash for hour watching TV then early bedtime.

Told the Hubby I may need to set an appointment for when I get back from Flying Pig....[Lord what have I done signing up for a Half...]

**********
First Tuesdays of the month are the BOC meet ups, and I already worked out a plan with the G'kid about those days possibly being 'our' days...We were planning on doing a Urban Walk looking at the murals downtown Lexington. But sadly while eating breakfast we noticed the wind picked up and temperature dropped just a bit. Normally that wouldn't bother me, but, since I am shit out of luck signed up for a race I didn't want to have my sinus act up any more than they already are...stupid Ky weather...!

So we did the next best thing...Shopping! Well just a little bit. It was still a good Day. We talked, we Laughed, we made Biltmore trip plans, we were just together. It's been something I've missed. I'm grateful that she got out of a bad situation with her exBF, I'm grateful she wasn't damaged too much-mentally-emotionally-physically.

Blog 365 ~ Happy Homemaker Monday 5-1-23

Look at me getting all caught up, LOL! Still doing my small part helping my friend MJ with 'he'....sadly, things are not looking good for him. A very Looong story short is 'he' has been now unresponsive, Dr's are trying their best in doing whatever tests they can, 'he' is on a ventilator, and has a feeding tube. There's a lot more....MJ is exhausted to say the least. Friend Terri is here from Arizona for a couple of weeks to be with MJ and help. For now let's try and get this link up with Sandra for Happy Homemaker Monday.
