Psalm 91:1-16 describes the security and protection available to those who trust in God, emphasizing His role as a refuge and fortress. It highlights God's deliverance from various dangers, including snares, pestilence, and terror, and promises His angels' protection. The passage also emphasizes the importance of dwelling in God's presence and the blessings that follow, such as long life and salvation.

I Came up with this combo for Father's Day dessert...Cherry/Peach Cobbler.

Happy to see blooms on the 'rescued' squash plants,

Sunday Sermon

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Have an Amazing  Blessed day

Sunday Sermon + Jingle Bell Jog

I posted this to my social media story unaware of what todays Church sermon was going to be.

Lo & Behold ''It's not too Late" = how fitting for me today

Immediately after getting home from church I fixed a PBJ sandwich and headed onto JBJ race in nearby Stanford. I was supposed to meet up with Gal Pal Mac & her daughter to walk it, but at the last minute they bailed on me.
So, a last-minute decision I decided to try and run/walk it.
Finishing 4th in my age group and 14 minute mile! WooHoo!
Resulting in a New Personal Record I went back through the results to see how far behind I was to placing and found out IF I was already 70, I would have placed & medaled...So there's next year's goal.

Of course, the Kid and one of her BRF's ran and she also was 4th in her age group.
She on the other hand wasn't happy with 4th...and also said IF she was already 50 she to would have medaled...LOL not sure where she got her competitiveness😉

The race benefits Alzheimer's and something near to my heart is they also take doll donations in honor of Karen Wilson a runner friend to many so that some young girl gets a Christmas gift.

My hiker group also takes donations during their Christmas potluck. But when Karen' husband approached me about helping with collecting dolls I told him I couldn't leave out something for the boys at Christmas time. Our Potluck is coming up Tuesday and I know it will again be a success.

Until Tomorrow, Stay Warm, Be Safe !
