Kings 18:20-24...36-39
20 So Ahab sent unto all the children of Israel, and gathered the prophets together unto mount Carmel.

21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

22 Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the Lord; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

23 Let them therefore give us two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under:

24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord: and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.

36  And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.

37 Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the Lord God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.

38 Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord, he is the God; the Lord, he is the God.

Sunday re-Set + Rental Project

Proverbs 31:25
"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."
Strength: An inner power and firmness of character, not just physical force.
Dignity: Self-respect, honor, and a calm, noble way of living.
Laugh at the future: Trusting God so much that she feels no fear or worry about what will happen tomorrow.
Part of a famous chapter in the Bible describing an ideal, noble woman.
Focuses on character, hard work, kindness, and wisdom rather than outward beauty.
Shows that true value comes from honoring and fearing God.

Exodus 16:1-4

16 Then the whole community of Israel set out from Elim and journeyed into the wilderness of Sin,[a] between Elim and Mount Sinai. They arrived there on the fifteenth day of the second month, one month after leaving the land of Egypt.[b] 2 There, too, the whole community of Israel complained about Moses and Aaron.

3 “If only the Lord had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned. “There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.”

4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.

Summer Solstice + Sunday re-Set + Happy Father's Day

*****
And it also happens to be Summer Solstice...
Days will start slowly getting shorter...

Another cuppa Joe☕️ to-go ☕️...off I go for Early:Thirty race. This time it's for just Me!

The "fog" reminds me of the movie "The Abyss".
And of course light at the end of the long road....

*****

Made it EARLY ( as always ๐Ÿ˜‰) to where the race is taking place.
This is a new to me venue, and not sure where we're ๐Ÿƒ‍♀️ running?
I didn't sit in the chair due to it having lot's of water on it, and the hay was Oh...So...Wet!
I sat in the car, drank my coffee, read my devotional prior to race start.

What I  didn't expect was so many people!
I only seen a few that I knew, ๐Ÿ˜ฅ sadly no pictures/selfie with them. The course was on the gravel path with short areas through the orchard...we did the "loop" 2X before turning for the finish line.

Just a fewcourse cheerleaders...

Thanks to random strangers that don't mind being bothered so you can get Butterfly Photo...

A quick selfie on the way out...I'm a bit proud of myself.

2nd in my age group...

It was amazing crossing the finish with runner Girl Thomasina....

I text the Mr to let him know I would be a little late but will see him at Church.
Genesis 9:19-29
19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.

20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:

21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.

24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.

25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.

29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

Not in "Sunday" dress but like my Dad always said..."Sis, God doesn't care what you wear to church, it's showing up that counts"

The Mr choose Lee's chicken for his Fathers Day lunch/dinner. We got the food to go and went home to eat and relax!!

I showered, and started a load of laundry, then a bit of outdoor porch sitting. Today was Great & Amazing, but tomorrow is a New Day.

๐ŸŒด Palm Sunday Church Service ๐ŸŒด
28 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.
29 As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them,
30 “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
32 Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them.
33 As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
34 They replied, “The Lord needs it.”
35 They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. 36 As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.
37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
38 “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”[a]
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”
39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”
40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

Skipped our 'normal' routine of Lee's chicken sliders for tomato soup at home with cheese stick and crackers on the side. I have some office work to get finished and going to intermediate Tarot class later this evening. I'll check back in for tomorrows last Monday of the month for Happy Homemaker Monday...

It's a NEW MONTH + Sunday re-Set + on a Roll

Happy March 1st

Time Change is right around the corner,

Spring is coming soon...

**********

Up EARLY;THIRTY for this 1st day of March. I'm so glad February is over! I was The longest shortest month ever. I have so many New to me opportunities, challenges & goals coming up it's
MindBoggling!

Much more on everything happening later...

**********

So, as I said I was up early to work the Catch the Leprechaun race in Berea. This is only the second race I've worked with my 'partners' at RaceRise. What kinda sucks is the other photographer they/we use charges the benefactors, so that takes away additional monies for the charities. Oh well, I'm committed to doing my own thing and doing my own race challenges. I walked around the park area -.82mile- to loosen up and really glad I brought my extra coat! In the meantime, here's the link from today's start/finish line photos. View results here...

**********

Surprisingly after the race I made it just in time for church services. Sub preaching by our own Rev Coulter

John 3:14-21 (KJV):
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

**********

Lunch of leftover Chicken sandwich & few chips, then Mr dropped me off at the park entrance so I could get ''something'' mileage wise done adding 2 more miles for the day. I also stopped at my friend Cheyenne store for a couple more Mystical Bluegrass one-of-a-kind bracelets and book signing from local author N.F. Webb--A Dragon's Night book.

**********
Finally, home for the day...5am wake-up and I'm winding down. Mr came in just as I was planning what to do next...a shower for me, comfy clothes for us both, popcorn treat while watching a bit of his newest streaming Paramount+ obsession Yellow Jackets. Dinner was frozen package Aldi meal and last of pork chops made earlier in the week [cooking once and reheating is fabulous BTW].
