Happiest Birthday Wishes to my Son-in-Love Gerard ''G-Man'' Perkins...

He and the Kid have been together for 35 years !! Through all the THICK & Thin, but more so he has survived me, 🤣 ! The fact that he was a mere 14yo when they started their 'relationship' I feel like I've raised him as well. It's a long story that doesn't need rehashed; all I know is he's the best Dad to my G'kids, successful with his career and truly loves my daughter with all his being.

As I do every 1st day of the month, I completed the Cinnamon ritual...

Went for my walk/run and found $$ [a little at a time adds up]

Though we are still under heat advisory locally, I've already started fall/winter planning...[ don't judge ]

Days are slowly getting darker,

I'm not cut out for all the heat & humidity and ready for cooler evenings.

So, a lot of SF monies are in new ''start-up'' balances. The kid HVAC system went kaput and I offered to help her with getting a new one. Amazingly the old unit was one I put in 28 years ago when I was remodeling the house...so it was long overdue for replacement.

Still working on getting stuff done and handled around the house little bits at a time. Later this afternoon I have Garden Club then Hospice Gala planning meeting. Not exactly sure what's for dinner but it'll be something easy.

Happy Homemaker Monday 7-1-24 + New Month + Happy Birthday SIL

 First thing for this Monday morning is to Shout a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my SIL Gerard....

He and the Kid have been together for close to 31years!! You read that right...31! They were mere teenagers, when they started seeing each other. And yes, young parents...very young. Was it difficult...yes. Did we have 'our' issues...yes. But they have defied the odds and have stuck it out through thick & thin and everything in between. And that earned him respect from us. G'Man [what we call him] has overcome so many obstacles to get where he is today. Always thinking about how & what it takes for his family....his wife [my daughter] and the daughters they have together. He's done amazing things in his career and is head mechanic at work where he's been for 25 years.
