Geez oh Pete it's been a while! Most everyone has Jumped ship I'm sure, but in my defense It's...Been...CrAzY, CRAZY I Tell Ya. But let's do this, Hopefully I can salvage what's left of the year and just go with it.

What I'm reading...
First time reading this author..Just when I think I'm not going any further I get Reeled back into a bit of action...About the Book: Cuban American crime reporter Mari Alvarez is on a personal hunt for a killer who leaves a broken doll at every scene. She's about to become the killer's prey and she'll need more than the azabache charm her Abuela Bonita insists will protect her from evil. By-the-book homicide detective Tony Garcia needs more than a superstitious journalist's hunch there's a serial killer lying in wait in their West Tampa neighborhood. He needs proof. Working against the clock, Mari and Tony explore a hidden, Old World Cuban religion to break the case of all the broken girls

And Just Like That it's ****JULY**** !!

Wait?.... What?.....? July?.....?

Where did January, February, March, April, May and June go?? More Importantly what in the World have I been doing, obviously not Blogging. Let's see if we I can change all that, in the meantime let's do a small 2021 re-cap....

January was still under Covid restrictions with only a few race events going on, the Mr. had a surgery on Jan 19th, and I was offered [shockingly] a job with Chick-fil-A food truck, my Step-dad, aka PaPaw got sick and unfortunately passed late in the month, Walk/Run 48.6 miles

February brought multiple follow up trips to the Big City for the Mr. getting stitches removed and such, we were hit with a Ice Storm-luckily we were prepared having lot's of freezer/pantry food, and a  generator if it was needed, the storm also forced the rescheduling of a few race events [Covid restrictions were in place for races], I was forced to begin a plan on what to do with all the stuff from Papaws house-then learning that the kid does in fact have a lot of her Granny in her-she & the SIL decided to take the house as her inheritance and that's ok, started volunteering at the local Covid Clinic, I also worked every Friday on the food truck for CFA. Walk/Run 27.3 miles

March brought a few more lenient covid restrictions for race events so I was able to be more involved with my #teamRaceRise group, a planned couples dinner outing happened finally this month with more planned in the future, I did the Card Ministry for my church sending them those that are sick, had surgery or lost a Loved one, CFA Friday work slowed down to every other week and I was off for 'my' second time doing the RTB Yearling 3.65 miles [3rd in my age group Go Me!], and started back to in-person church services. Walk/Run 29.9 miles

April I turned to Chapter #66 in life...worked CFA alternate Fridays, Connections Ministry starting having church meetings at Church [finally], only had a few race events but things are slowly getting back to normal, yearly check up was good-but my motivation was no where to be found and not sure where it went, Walk/Run 15.4 miles

May brought another surgery for the Mr so again off to the Big City multiple times for follow ups and such, volunteering at Covid Clinic continues for the month, started Hiking again [hallelujah] thanks to my friend Margaret I'm part of the Casey County Explorers and we go everywhere to hike, a few more races and restrictions are getting more and more relaxed, GOP meetings are also beginning to be in-person and that's a big plus, work at CFA is spotty at best [and that's ok], I completed all the spring landscape cleaning and re-mulching in all the flower beds, booked race events every weekend, after having a 'come to Jesus' talk with myself Walk/Run = 55.6 miles

June I signed up to be RunMom/motivator/cheer leader for the new A Running Start group you can read about the program/group Here, not sure what I was thinking but attempted to try some speed work while out for a walk/run and ended up with a pulled/sprained hamstring, played PitStopMom for the Kid and her running friend in Indianapolis for their 50K race with said pulled/sprained hamstring, surgery for the Mr [again in the Big City], No More Restrictions!, a much needed couples dinner out to reconnect with friends, Bible Study resumed at our 'other' church, races are open to as many that want to compete, booked every weekend, only worked 1 Friday for 4 hours-they shut down due to thunder and lightning storm, resigned from CFA for a few reasons, city Commissioners in-person meetings have resumed, the Mr worked on the #porchproject, and though I've done 'some walk/run activities I've not taken the time [just like the BLOG😒] to update my Strava account...but I will!

And now here it is JULY....I have 6 race events to do/be at, Connections Ministry meeting, Hiking, GOP meeting, Wednesday Bible Study at First Baptist with Dr Brisco, possible Covid Clinic volunteering, and a HUGE financial decision in the works, Walk/Run will continue with a plan for some longer 🏃 distances...hopefully🤞

I'm Baaack!

There's lots to get done today but first I want to fill you in on Monday night...

A while back my Friend~maily [friends that are family]  son wanted to know if we would come to his end of school play Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. There was no question as to if we were going a most definite Yes. So here we are me and my Lil 'Oompa Loompa'

Tuesday's happenings...
The other most important thing was getting to be with my Grand-Son and witnessing him do the Pledge of Allegiance for Fiscal Court, then becoming an Honorary Boyle County Magistrate.

Though Baron and his parents are not Blood related to me, I still consider them my family. All this came about 'cause my Mom was his sitter from the time he was 6 weeks old until he started school. {Baron' dad also went to school with my SIL.} He's a very Bright young man and will do amazing things with his life...and somehow has become interested in the political world, not sure how all that came about but that's OK.

After Fiscal Court I came home and meal prepped a Chicken to bake while the Hub's and I went to visit a friend in the hospital...we've known Tugg [nickname of course] for 25+ years and had been in ER's-and 3 different hospital's before finally getting to Baptist Health at Lexington over the past 3 1/2 weeks. Tugg worked for the Hub's for a while doing all sorts of jobs before getting promoted to trimmer tech and though Hub's is retired they still stay in contact with each other. Luckily he is doing so much better and has finally got the tubes removed and is eating soft foods for now.

Once we were back home we trans-planted one of my potted bushes off the breezeway in one of the flower beds around the yard....and just piddled around before I finished dinner.

On the agenda for today is mowing the yard, mess around in flower beds, some simple house cleaning, Bible Study at noon, then we're going to get vegetable plants for the raised beds. Not to much though... tomatoes and maybe a pepper plant. I still have a bunch of stuff in the freezer from last year.

I  need to work on meal plan for the Hub's, I'm going to be busy with Horse Capital Half/Full Marathon Expo stuff  Thursday & Friday and the Race is Saturday. Of course I'm going to let him have his choice but only from what I have in the freezer or pantry this is another #noextragroceryspendweek

That's it for me...the Hub's is gone to his Board of Directors meeting and I ready to shower and relax...Leftovers on the menu tonight !

Hugs, Kisses, Be Safe Wishes 😘

*tap tap tap* hello- is this thing still on?

Hello again, blog world!

Wow---I had no intention of stepping away for 6 MONTHS....SIX !! Time flies when your having Fun??  Yea well this procrastination thing really needs to stop...this isn't me...I don't back burner other areas so Why is it so hard for me to do this blog thing??
I tell myself A~L~L the T~I~M~E to put it on my weekly goal list but do I get to it....??...quite obviously No.
What's changed, why do I think I just might be able to finally keep up with a post or more weekly? One change is I'm the Proud owner of a Brand Spanking NEW LapTop...thanks to the Hub's. Yep I'm truly one lucky gal. And he paid for my share of the hotel during flying Pig weekend.
My 'old' laptop was exactly that old, and a refurbished laptop to boot [nothing wrong with that] 'cause at the time that was all I could afford.
After Christmas I re-evaluated $$monies$$, set a stricter budget, started monthly meal plans with what ever I had on hand [#freezerfood #pantryfood]  #noextragroceryspend became daily IG/FB posts and any extra that I saved went in the #laptop fund. Then last week the inevitable happen...I had done all I could on the tablet I have and really needed to work on the computer. That lasted all of 5min then **Big**Blank**Screen...as in click you are done! waiting a couple minutes to attempt a reboot was quite the joke, I.Wanted.To.Cry! With about 400$ away from my goal of saving to pay cash for a 'new' laptop computer I told the Hub's I'm just going to go ahead and go shopping. I wanted to have a dependable working computer. I had things to get done...I had Blogging on my Goals List...so here I sit, doing a Very Long Over Due Blog Post.

No More Excuses...the Hub's retired {thank goodness}
