Oh No! + On the Road

Oh No it leaked...

Yep minor issue with the front of porch area...in both the contractor's and my defense we opted to do shingles though it was questionable as to the 'pitch' of the roof line.

Unfortunately, roofing nails created a couple of areas where there wasn't solid roof material to have holes and the roof leaked. Yes ''we'' made a decision, but the contractors are fixing at their expense because they said they felt they didn't give us warning regarding this potential. 

I do commend them for thier honesty and willing to fix...

But, to fixing it properly we needed to go with roll roof material, not shingles... 

You can only really tell its' rolled roof if standing across the street. Otherwise from the ground or driveway you can't tell.

We are heading South....well further South.

The Roadside views are spectacular!

As the ''Queen'' of the passenger seat I was able to really look at the views and just take them in. My thoughts went a bit haywire with all I've been able to do thus far at 71. 

Seeing the color changes in the rocks had me contemplating on the rest of the year, and future.

Made it to the Hatfield and McCoy race expo...This is a new adventure for both of us.

I'm only doing it because of earning a 3rd medal once I complete Marshall Half-Marathon later this fall, the Kid is doing it just to get another 'New' Half-Marathon. 

I signed us both up last year and choose Blackberry Mountain. This race is very different. 2 separate Half's and a Marathon. River Road Half starts in an entirely different area. The Full-Marathon and us doing Blackberry started in same are but finished in different places...

At any rate we are here and going to enjoy our time together, girlie Hannah will join us later tonight, she's also running Blackberry.
