Backing up a bit to last Friday and the weekend....the runner girls and I went on to TN even after multiple texts back and forth about impending bad weather and IF the race was going to happen or not. Both my girlies needed to get out of town so off we went, if the race happens it happens...if not..?..well at the very least they'll get away, and I'll able to join them. We stayed at a Best Western at Strawberry Plains [where the race was to be at], ordered in Pizza and just chilled. OMG it did feel good to be away. The race stalled making decisions, only because they needed approval from local police and fire dept heads. We got up early on Saturday morning and yet another message about possibly later start time. OK fine. Then the dreaded final email & FB post msg the race wasn't going to happen...TN had some icy roads then snow on top where the course was supposed to take place. As a race director my- self, I do understand the difficult decision to call off/cancel a race event. All the months of planning, getting sponsors, organizing volunteers, setting up a course, etc, etc, etc It's a LOT! And though it was disappointing, it was the right decision, as always Safety First! We got around and went to Apple Barn to eat breakfast then headed home...Oh Well there's always next year!
Now let's link up with Sandra for Happy Homemaker Monday !
Around The House...
From the camera....
Just a couple from the Tn trip....yes it snowed!
On my prayer list.....
I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Ex-Mr girlfriend passed away after a long-extended illness. I hold her children and grands in my prayers...
Bible verse, Devotional....
That's all for today, it's late but I did manage to get this post D.O.N.E!
You're a very sweet soul, and yes it may sound strange to pray for your husband's ex, but as Christians that is what we do. No matter the past, she passed on and her children will be devastated. Good on you for praying for them all :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a blessed week.
Beautiful snowy pictures, making me want to go outside. Might have to bundle up and brave it all later. Very kind to pray for your husband's ex, loss is hard no matter what. Hope you have a happy Wednesday as well as a great rest of your week!
