Headed to nearby Fort Harrod with the G'kid this afternoon to look & walk around the Christmas Tree displays. Harrodsburg does a tree competition every year and it's so nice to see all the creativity of the trees, 

** Looking forward to this week **

Getting Christmas over with...no I'm not a Bah Humbug, I just want to get things in better order and get more home repairs scheduled and started. It's going to be a HUGE mess around here for a few months. And I Do Mean a HUGE MESS ! Additional Plumbing for the upstairs efficiency apartment, which also means the plumbers need to open up master bedroom ceiling and wall in my office space to get to plumbing, adding trim and painting bathroom/hallway on first floor, and repairing ceilings and wall. And depending on $$ and time I'm wanting to change dining room wallpaper.

I need to buy myself some patience while things are disrupted 🤣

My pace is busy, sometimes very busy, with a never-ending to do list. I will set Priorities, set Limits, and thank God every day for being more than enough.

New for us this year. We went to 'our' church Christmas Program.

One reason was my Mr volunteered to do a singing part for the 12 days of Jesus.

That's my guy between the little girl in red and the little lady in dark green...BTW he did really well, I'm so proud of him.

No Early Race, Winter Solstice Saturday

It felt weird not getting up at Early:ThirtyAM for a race...Ahhh, 2 weeks off whatever will I do with myself !  

December 21st = Winter Solstice.... I'm remembering a few lost from the dreaded Alzheimer/Dementia. It hit me this morning for some reason how many are going through or have gone through losing someone not just once but in some cases many times over....so here is my 'display' for Loved ones.

Friday Finds

 

Out walking getting my streak mile done through my downtown looking at all the decorated sleighs and window displays.

I've been done with Christmas shopping for several weeks now [sorry-not sorry, LOL] all I have to do is wrap a few things. Christmas dinner is already planned and won't be anything big like previous years. Chili, Pimento cheese sandwich [G'kid request], Cornbread for the SIL, and Apple Streusel pie for dessert.
