Tidbit Tuesday + National Muffin Day + Blog 365

Because of 6 [ @%$&*!$ ] PurrKids I was up waaaay before dawn, sigh! Morning chores and a couple floors done before sunrise as well....'cause 6 [ @%$&*!$ ] PurrKids, sigh!

Took Roadie our 'old' man to the vet yesterday...he's started sneezing and has been losing weight like crazy, at 12 yrs old I know he has lots more life to live and praying there's nothing too serious. Waiting on results from full blood panel work up, Antibiotic shot, & liquid antibiotics to be given at home.

Only 3 of us for Mahjongg yesterday afternoon, others had work obligations, and traveling....I hadn't seen any of my Gal Pal's for the past couple of weeks, so it was so good to at least see Mac & Laura.
And I had a MAHJONGG!

Now a few Tidbits from this whole dental ordeal.

From taking Penicillin & Darvon. in my early childhood years, then being the [ stupid ] Badass Heathen getting into fights, then my pregnancy everything has done quite a number on my teeth.
Years and years of abuse to my mouth and being traumatized by a dentist [younger years] got me too now.
Here's my reflections on things I've taken for granted from having all my teeth pulled:
Being able to 🠛
⮚Yawn
⮚Sneeze
⮚Cough
⮚Crunchy Food
⮚Laughing out Loud
⮚Drinking from glass/cup
⮚Chewing - Anything!
Having my teeth pulled with the intentions of getting bottom implants was the plan...WAS! This whole ordeal is now my fifth pain I never Ever want to experience again. Implants means they replace tooth roots with metal, screwlike posts and replaces damaged or missing teeth with artificial teeth that look and function much like real ones. Dental implant surgery involves several procedures that requires the bone to heal tightly around the implant. Because this bone healing requires time, the process can take many months....MONTHS! And of course there are the Risks involved as there are with most any type of surgery.  With all this said, should we ever have an opportunity to meet in person and I'm not wearing a full mouth of falsies...Mind Ya Own Business 😉JusSayin!

#HereIam + Blog 365

Back in my Happy Sunday places...I even managed to attend last Wednesday noon day Bible Study,
After church and lunch, the Mr dropped me off to start my #HereIam walk,
Protecting my mouth area so air didn't get breathed in warding off the chance of dry sockets. With a couple of pesky locations still yet to close I'm following dentist orders [I know shocker!]. Several have told how painful they are and I Do. Not. Want. Additional Pain.
Slow & Steady for a weee bit over a mile to start re-training.
Just a mile-a-day until the end of the month.

Home, showered and relaxing with the Mr before dinner..
I'm trying to chew more but it's challenging...
So, 1/2 Sweet Potato with crumbled meatball & cheese,
Cottage Cheese topped with blackberry Jello hit the spot !

Simple Saturday + Blog 365

Woke up to a little 'skiff' of the white stuff....
Supposedly more is coming the end of next week..it's Ky there's no telling what it will do.
Took the last of my Antibiotic's this morning...
now if only the rest of the swelling would go away.
I can't believe I'm saying this but Man I was excited to have a full load in the dishwasher. Until yesterday, the Mr & I have only been hand washing to few dishes we dirtied for the day. I've just started branching out trying to eat more softer solid food [it makes sense to me]. The Mr...though I have plenty of prepared meals in the freezer was picking up lunch/dinner out. That wasn't working for me, and it was crazy to spend $$ even though it was only for him it's still expensive. MEN!!

The Kid went to Tenn this morning for a race that she was the 3hour pacer for, so I did chauffer duty getting the G'kid to work. The Mr and I went to drop off a bunch of misc cards for my Gal Pal Margaret to use with the Card Ministry at FCC - we made a stop at Goodwill to donate 3 bags and a box of stuff I've been purging/decluttering -  then went and checked out the new location for a upcoming event, I'll share more on that when we do the ribbon cutting.

I start my #HereIam return tomorrow....I'm excited but cautious and will be only doing a mile or so a day to get back with the program. Due to the cold temps we still have, I'll be wearing a mask to ensure I have my mouth covered so as not to get a dry socket in the areas where they're not quite closed all the way. February thus far has been a blur.... for me anyway. And now that I don't have as much pain/discomfort I've got some 'come to Jesus' stuff to do within & for myself.

Dinner tonight is going to be Tilapia fish & baked sweet potato, adding/finding those softer solid foods.

Hoping everyone has had a great week and as we start a new week tomorrow Be Safe & Be Blessed!

Friday Feels + Blog 365

Feeling a bit motivated after breakfast this morning and after getting the normal daily basics done,
I got busy and scrubbed the upper cabinets then Orange Glo'd them...

Then tackled cleaning out 2 kitchen drawers...

Dinner tonight is Canned Beef Stew with 🤞I'll be able to try and 'chew'. There's still a couple of sockets that haven't closed all the way. Dentist is telling me with all the extractions I had done I'm looking at 4-6 months before everything was completely healed😩. So many things I've discovered & realized that I've taken for granted regarding having teeth.

Spring is in the Air + Blog 365

And It's popping up all over my yard....

Surveyed all of the yard making a small list of supplies to get things in tip top shape...

Tiller started right up...

As well as the lawn mower....

Changing up the raised beds this year by adding one end with Strawberries.....[ pic to come ]

Spring Fever is definitely trying to get hold of me...
this weeks temps were near to perfect for any outdoor activities
....unfortunately for me, the dentist strongly preferred me to NOT do activities that I might be breathing through my mouth, or adding any kind of 'bounce' motion. His main concern was getting dry sockets!
[ I'll spare you the gory pics found online ] All I know is I for sure didn't want that either, and with multiple extractions I'm not taking any chances. Has it been difficult?? YES. Will everything I'm going through be worth it?? In the long run YES.

But guess what's made my to-come-back-at-it...I've been accepted as a 2024 Zensah Ambassador. My ego really need that news today, who knew? So another discussion with the Mr to emphasize the importance of my plan beginning Sunday though he's not real happy about it, he knows I'm gonna do it anyway.

My new hashtag is #hereiam  Stay tuned!

Happy Valentine's Day + Blog 365

Happy Valentine's Day !

The Mr and & exchange cards but will delay the traditional going out to eat meal until I'm more healed up. The dental tech suggested yesterday to try and start chewing soft foods later this month...I'll continue to rinse with 🥃 and go from there.

Not taking Things for Granted going Forth + Blog 365

 Today's the Day...

It's follow-up and stitches removal day. I have definitely struggled with the whole teeth thing.
The right side is still swollen and I feel there's sores along the inside bottom area.
These were just from the top😧needless to say I have struggled.
Stitches all out, dental technician said my gums looked better than most 1 week post-op. I confessed that the salt water rinse didn't feel like it was doing anything so switched to ''old school'' and used  Whiskey🥃to rinse out and help with closing the sockets.
She made a couple of adjustments to the plates and said to leave them out for 24 hours to give my mouth a rest...I was ecstatic! Though I truly looked more like my mom without teeth I also really looked like my aunt Sofie, LOL. I can't remember the last time I had this many teeth even if they are fake.
Best Meal I've had in a WEEK! Mashed potatoes & gravy.....
Convo with the Mr regarding the rest of the week was not much to his liking...I'm giving myself the next few days to heal more, but I have a half-marathon in 12 weeks...I WILL NOT go into this year undertrained!
So even if I have to leave dentures at home, I will:
I have a lot to catchup with! And it will be what it'll Be!
