I'm a Northern Gal through & through...BUT waking up with temps like these and with an upcoming extensive dental procedure coming up I'm not taking chances on getting any kind of sinus/head cold stuff. I'll be doing church online today. I do plan on venturing out much later this afternoon IF the temps get in the mid teens.

When you get a thought/vision about your bathroom project to still have flow & function while waiting on spring to get here to do the finishing work.

Mr said it was ok and a good idea to place a towel bar in the window frame, Course main man JinX had to oversee the operation.

JinX had to get a bit closer...ready to help catch a screw if it fell...

End result, Hanging up the safety mat will keep the tub dry.

My Thanksgiving Catus is a bit confused...😕but she's pretty.

Getting morning routine done and relaxing a bit. I'm riding with Mac to take our friend Sandy to the airport. After delays & cancellations she's finally able to get back to Oregon. It's been great having her here, but she misses her family and we need to get back to regular routines. Dinner tonight is Corn Chicken Chowder, my craving for it is why it was added to the meal/menu plan.

The Mr stayed with it, though it took as long as 2 other walls.

Finally done! Spring will bring all the sanding, priming, & painting.

I worked on the hallway closets cleaning,

Kiwanis Meeting + Blog 365

 

No Working, No Projects today....felt somewhat odd😕

Instead, I managed to get the morning routine done and head out for Kiwanis meeting.

Todays speaker[s] were the 4H kids that were selected to go and represent Kentucky for the 2024 Alaska Summit

The kids were so ready to do their presentation...spoke with concise words, explain in detail what each role they were doing, none of them were fidgety, didn't say  'Ummm', We were so impressed! So much so that we started a 'text thread' voting during the meeting how much we would sponsor them. BTW we gave them 1000$.

After the meeting I went over to Gal Pal Natalie' for some MahJongg!! 

YES PLEASE!!

took some creative packing & stacking...Cleaned up and Cleaned out!!

The Mr started working on the bathroom wallpaper removal while I worked on the cabinet....

We both stopped working long enough to go to noon day Bible Study,

I know I sound like a broken record, but I truly appreciate & enjoy Dr Briscoe' style of preaching.

Home to a simple & quick lunch then back at cleaning & removing wallpaper.

I'm not sure, but the gray paint job was Latex paint?? It feels like rubber?

I don't know...

Lots of wall repair to do in the spring...Spring?? you say?? Yes spring. I'm not taking any chances of dust & fumes affecting the 🐱PurrKids. 

Time for dinner and watch something we have DVR'd

Tuesday Tidbits + Blog 365

 

Did a bit of pantry shopping this morning....

Yesterday's photo of Monday Mahjongg Misfits...

I Mahjongg and it was a closed hand which means I couldn't pick up any tiles laid by the other players...

Sometimes I just can't with these PurrKids 🤣 either the room/sun was too bright, or his nose was cold. At any rate he's our next largest PurrKid coming in at 20'ish pounds.

Dentist appointment #2, this time for impressions.

This mold is in addition to the regular top & bottom mold that the dental assistant had done. [sigh] I've for sure screwed up BIG time regarding my teeth...but when you've had a dentist get on the arm of the chair in order to pull your teeth you get traumatized. Along with the fact that I've never really had 'good' teeth I should have looked into doing implants many-many years ago. Since I started a drug plan my share of the cost for this portion is 3 grand. Yes Three-Thousand Smack-a-Roo's.

I'll share more on what this will do to overall budget & and other plans at the end of the month.

Came home, broke the news to the Mr about teeth, had lunch and he caulked the bathroom window area so we can start on scoring & removing wallpaper tomorrow [maybe]?? 

Speaking of tomorrow, Oh My Lord it's a EARLY:WAKE UP ! I'm riding with MJ to take our Oregon friend to the airport. With the severe cold temps, snow and Dark:Thirty driving I didn't want her going by herself. I'll get a little nap in when I get home before going to Bible study then go from there...

Has anyone had implants done??

My extraction surgery is scheduled for mid-February...send good Vibes my way please!
