Happy Homemaker Monday 6-16-25

It's fine...I'm fine..I'm Busy as a staying afloat with several things most days... Let's start the morning with linking up with Sandra for this third Monday of JUNE!! O*M*G!! We are Half-Way through June [sigh] well when life is full of adventures-opportunities-challenges-goals time gets by quickly.

Enjoying early morning coffee with the Mr, working on this post.

Loungey sweats for now, I'll be changing into workout clothes when Mr leaves for his volunteer 'job',

I'm barely into the Matt Rife book, and frankly a bit disappointed so far,

''Personal Best'' just started and have learned a couple of new things about myself..

** TV Shows this week **

We've already watched all our 'regular' channel programs we had DVR'd,

so working on a few of the movies I recorded.

** Menu Plan **

Leftover Meatloaf from Father's Day

Tilapia Fish

Baking a Whole Chicken so there will be a couple days of leftovers,

just pairing with different sides.

Evening events where food will be served.

Adding Hot dogs to the mix for dinner & lunch

Sides night; Salad, Cottage Cheese, Baked Beans, Potato Salad

Not sure after that...

Replace clothes closet downstairs [didn't get to this last week]

Air out summer workout wear,

Get tubs from storage to make new ''contained area'' for the new Purr members.

the Kid & G'kid has claimed Tuxedo kitten..of course the Mr would LOVE to keep

all the rest but I just can't bring myself to do it. My heart can't take it.

** Today's Motivation **

** Something fun to share **

Headed to Bernheim [maybe] with the G'kid...she's never seen the Troll people

She worked a 14 hour shift yesterday so hopefully she's not to wore out...

she has 'extra' work days coming up this week so if we don't go it'll be totally fine

and of course we can go another time...

Happy Heavenly Father's Day + Sunday Sermon + Week Set-Up

Happy Heavenly Father's Day

My Dad Kenneth Eaton & Carl Reed aka Papaw, Gone but NEVER FORGOTTEN.

Genesis 22:1-12

Came home from church only to find a Bird was added to the kitten pen...the Kid's pick [Julian- aka JuJu] was On It! Bad Kitten!

More clean up from the office, my Mr along with JinX dis-assembled an

Old Laptop so we could throw it away. Say what you will about donating it, but as I remember it started smoking and I don't want to pass that along.

I Came up with this combo for Father's Day dessert...Cherry/Peach Cobbler.

It called for a butter drizzle on top, but I choose not to until after it baked..

Got busy making Meatloaf while cobbler baked,

One for today, One for the freezer...

#streakingwiththeCOOLKIDS still going on...

Happy to see blooms on the 'rescued' squash plants,

Final Father's Day dinner, Meatloaf, Mashed potatoes, scorched green beans [it's a southern thing apparently] And the best thing, everything came from the freezer!

Cherry/Peach Cobbler was a Hit with the Mr!

Again, I had everything on hand from the pantry closet!

Happy Homemaker Monday 6-9-25

I tried...I really did, But, as you noticed I've been absent again for the last week. I do have things in 'draft' mode that I plan [ 🤞 ] to get posted. I will say though other than getting blogging done I have managed to complete a couple of to-do list items, work my races, and work my various committee responsibilities....

With that... let's link up with Sandra for this second week of June and second Happy Homemaker Monday of June.

Whatever various movies we have DVR'd...all the regular programs are finished for the summer. Of course my guilty pleasure channel Bravo has a couple of things I'll indulge watching.

[another reason for being MIA]

Carpet has been in 2 downstairs rooms for longer than I've been here,

They were getting beyond Gross & Nasty! I told the Mr we needed to either get a carpet cleaner -or- remove the carpet...I'm Not cleaning carpets anymore so removal it was! Oh..My..Lord! It was a job! I really expected the floors to be in bad shape, so was surprised to see all the good areas.
