Well, Well WELL...guess who finally decided to show up again after a Month and a Half...
It's been a busy year and thank goodness I'm #retirednotexpired 🤣 This last month has been a blur of activity and Ky weather has been so unpredictable causing me [of all people] to fall into the ''don't give a you-know-what mentality''.
The Hubby did have a really good Dr appointment last month....scans from his legs showed much better blood flow and he is to continue walking on the treadmill daily along with the meds prescribed.
The Hope Center recovery run group resumed last month for now I'm with them on Thursday evenings getting them prepared for their first competitive race event at the end of May...
2 other ladies and the 2 gentlemen on far 'R' are also run/walk volunteers...my team at RaceRise and I are sponsoring their entries for the race, I can't wait to see their finish line faces.
Since I last Blogged my weekends have been busy with race events including a 'Run'cation with my daughter and her BRF competing at the Pistol Ultra in Alcoa, Tn...getting signed up as a pacer was a surprise and unexpected...it was what it was! I still had a blast being the Pit Crew Mom and seeing a few of my other runners there.
Hiking on Tuesday's have me connecting with lots of different Ladies and I've enjoyed talking and learning about wildflowers and histories of the trails we are on.
I competed at the Spring RTB Yearling race...well let's just say I participated😒. Training has been on the back burner, which will be even more apparent at 2 different race events later this month, however I'm still going to give it my all and hope for the best.
Enough of the past few weeks, I'm back to joining up with Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for Happy Homemaker Monday!
The Weather...
This morning weather was Great for spreading mulch with the Garden Club at Constitution Square park, more to do but we were able to spread 2 dump truckloads.. blog post on that to come...[😬 I hope] it's currently raining and looks like it may rain for the rest of the night.
