Wednesday in the Word + Eye follow-up Burp!

 

Today is eye surgery follow-up day...

Mr is getting counselled on what the technician's findings are after getting examined...

Doc confirmed Mr has a 'pocket' of fluid [minor thank goodness]

that will need to be Burped...❓👀❓

THAT my friends required Doc taking a needle and do a minuet prick to drain pocket...

After appointment it was time for Bible Study...

I'm always grateful to be able to attend...Learning 'new' every time I'm with my church family.

Home to get this post finished, I worked on removing more snow/ice in parking areas while Mr napped, then relax & dinner.

Unfortunately, my path/route area for walk/runs is still under a foot of Ice-Snow-Ice and with the drivers out there I really don't want to walk in the street....I know I could do the treadmill but I'll do what I can at my next race and it'll be what it'll be🤷. 

   

Mr Eye Surgery Day Tuesday

Early morning hours starting Mr's eye prep with drops before cataract surgery. He's decided to do the  'corrective lens' replacement that the eye Dr recommended. 

No food or liquids since midnight but still smiling!

I on the other hand enjoyed my coffee & breakfast in my office.

Not sure why I was a bit nervous about this surgery since it involves his eyes...but as you can tell he was all smiles even after getting stuck with IV. 

Doc said he needed to keep his eye shut until surgery so that it wouldn't dry out...meaning dry eye = delayed surgery. Mr is one of "those" people. He could not keep it shut for anything, so nursewife [yep me] took some surgical tape and shut it for him.

When the surgical anesthesiologist nurse came in, she laughed...

Once I seen who his nurse was I did a huge sigh of relief. She's one of my Runner Girls! I was never so grateful to see her.

Off to the waiting room I went and of course I had my book, managed to get several pages read befoe getting summoned back to recovery to get Mr.

I didn't take any after photos, I was just glad to see him, get at home instructions, and get him home! We had lunch, I did his scheduled eye drops and made him lay down for a while.

For me now I'll finish this post and get some rest as well...more scheduled drops yet tonight and follow-up appointment tomorrow.

So the DVR is down to 21% full because of watching a few things we recorded, BUT...the Mr has figured out how to use the ''streaming'' APP functions [sigh].

I'll be doing the rescheduled Snowball Express 2 miler Saturday Morning, then rushing home to clean up/make myself presentable for a Galentine's event at The Castle in Versailles. It'll be my first time going to something like this.
