Tuesday Tidbits

 

A Special breakfast because it's a Huge Work Day...

It's  Bye Bye nasty 30+YO carpet...

So I've wanted to pull up the carpet for Years, I told the Mr we needed to buy a carpet cleaner "or" pull it up. What little bit he did yesterday held promise the hardwood was in good shape...unfortunately, we'll the picture tells the tale. Not that they're in that bad a shape, but still rough shape [sigh].

Two scrubbing with Pine Sol...One scrubbing with Bleach...and finally Two coats with Floor Shine

I'll most likely mop the Floor Shine a few more times. Only one more room with carpet - the dreaded office Ugh. The Mr wants to sand, stain & coat the floor[s]... MY eventual plan is to rent a POD empty out the house, board the PurrKids, get a motel and redo all the hardwood floors at one time. We'll see...Eventually  !

Ended the day with Promoting the 2025 #streakingwiththeCOOLKIDS starting up Sunday June 1st...year 2 for me!

Trying my hand at growing a few Herbs in the raised beds this year...

Put all the tomato cages up and secured along with planting the balance of Marigolds..

Headed to help out at the EMH gift shop for a few hours, Catch everyone later...

 

Tuesday Tidbits

Starting the morning with cat Cuddles & Coffee...

Decided to go for a Slow Stroll...Larry sporting and advertising ME. He was my 1st Sports Writer for the local paper [I'm no longer doing submissions-they concentrate on local HS sports] Larry is also a one street over neighbor but more importantly my Friend! 

Along my route the city has been working on this street. on the left is where they replaced & buried cable line & repaired gas lines...I do hope they right side gets new sidewalks.

My Elle'Phanti families are coming up...

I planted 2 in front to shield windows...we have a Lot of activity on

the street and I don't need a bunch of LookyLoos peering in.

Several were planted to line where we had old dying trees removed,

A Small cluster have expanded on a corner where we park the truck.

We planted these really 'young' banana peppers,

so I added make-shift screen protection.

I think Dad gave me a 😉wink for some Eaton Ingenuity,

and used leftover supplies.
